Geumsan Kasabası’na gelip de, müzenin önündeki otobanın kenarındaki çeşmede biten 2 ginseng kökü (bir kadın ve erkeği andıran) figürü ile bu müzeyi ziyaret etmemek çok zordur. Burada büyük bir otopark alanı ve müzenin arka tarafındaki dinlenme alanında güzel bir park ile bir gölet bulunmaktadır.
Burası Kore’deki en önemli ginseng üretim alanlarından biridir ve bölgenin yakınlarında büyük bir Pazar olmasına rağmen, ülkede satılan tüm ginsengin %80’ini oluşturduğu söylenir. Ayrıca burada yılda bir gerçekleştirilen bir Ginseng Festivali ve bir ginseng sergisi bulunmaktadır. Müze, yerel ginseng üretiminin tarihi hakkında birçok bilgiye sahip ama aynı zamanda yerel tarihin diğer yönlerinin sergi ve sanat eserleri de bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca ginseng tarihini resmeden çeşmenin tabanının çevresinde açıklayıcı levhalar ve müze binasının önünde büyük bir bilgilendirme duvarı mevcuttur.

Introduction
It is hard to miss this museum coming into the town of Geumsan with the towering figures of two ginseng roots (resembling a man and woman) in the fountain at the edge of the highway in front of the museum. There is a large parking area with a lovely park and pond beside it, with the museum building sitting back.

This are has been noted as one of the chief ginseng producing areas in Korea, and it is said that some 80% of all ginseng sold in the country goes through the large market here. There is an annual Ginseng Festival and an ginseng expo. The mus

eum does have a lot of history about local ginseng production, but also has displays and artifacts of other aspects of the local history. There are illustrative plaques around the base of the fountain depicting ginseng history, and a large mural on the front of the museum building.
