Konu

Sirkte tüm yaşamını geçirdikten sonra, 60 yaşındaki Oh Yun - jae'nin Il-wol Sirk Topluluğu'ndaki görevi biter. Ji-hye ve Ha-Myung, sirk grubunun bir çiftidir. Yun jae' yi hoş karşılarlar. Onların grubunda Suk-ie vardır, sirkin dışında olan bir adamı sevmektedir ve bu yüzden yalnız yaşayan bir sirk sanatçısıdır. Ji hye cambaz ipi esnasında düşer. Böyle bir talihsizliğe rağmen performansında büyük bir başarı gösterir. Ama grubun başkanı bir hastalıktan ölür. Kwang-pyo adındaki bir adam yeni başkan olur. Yeni başkan ve üyeler arasında çatışma çıkar. Üyeler üzüntü içerisindedir. Yun-jae sahne altındaki bir hasır çanta içinde ölür. Ha Myung ve Ji hye, Yun-jae'nin ölümünü öğrenir.

Synopsis

After spending his whole life in the circus, 60-year-old Oh Yun-jae ends up at the Il-wol Circus Troupe. Ji-hye and Ha-myung, a couple in the circus group, welcome Yun-jae. In their group, there is Suk-ie, a former circus performer who bears the fate of a woman who loved a man outside the circus and therefore lives alone. Ji-hye is raped and then falls during her tightrope performance. Despite such misfortune, the performance is a great success. But the head of the group dies of an illness so a man named Kwang-pyo becomes the new head. Conflict forms between the new head and the members. The members are saddened by the shriveled warmness of human spirit. Ji-hye becomes a hostess. Yun-jae lies in a straw bag underneath the stage and dies. Ha-myung and Ji-hye learn of life from Yun-jae's death.
