Hit composer Brave Brothers was recently awarded the ‘Hallyu Composer Award’ at the 19th ‘Korean Culture Entertainment Daesang Awards‘.

Held on December 15th, the composer was awarded for his string of hit tracks like Son Dambi’s “Crazy”; After School’s “AH” and “Diva”; the Brown Eyed Girls’ “How Come”; Big Bang’s “Last Farewell”; U-KISS’s “Manmanhani”; SISTAR’s “So Cool”, “Shady Girl”, and “Ma Boy”; Lee Seung Gi’s “Out of It”; and more recently, the Brave Girls’ “Do You Know” and Electroboyz” “Ma Boy 2″.

Last month, Jang Geun Suk made a donation of $1.2 million USD and asked the media not to report on it. Netizens didn’t find out until the school released their list of donators’ names on the university homepage.

Titled the ‘Jang Geun Suk Scholarship Fund’, the donation will be used for students in the acting and film department.

Jang Geun Suk himself is currently a senior at Hanyang University.

With the news of Kim Jong Il‘s death, South Koreans have been voicing their anxiety and speculations of what the future may hold. Naturally, concern for soldiers on active duty have been raised, especially from the numerous fandoms that have their favorite celebrities in the army.

Celebrities currently serving active military duty include Rain, Hyun Bin, Jung Tae Woo, Im Joo Hwan, Wheesung, T-Max‘s Kim Joon, Lee Jun Ki, Lee Dong Gun, Kim Ji Suk, Park Hyo Shin, Kim Heechul, Hwanhee, and Untouchable. With all active soldiers put on red alert, it’s likely that these celebrity soldiers will also put on alert as well.

A source from The National Defense Public Relations Department stated, “With the news of Kim Jong Il’s death, the public relations department (in which the celebrity soldiers serve) have cancelled some of their events… However, [the celebrity soldiers] are carrying out the duties they have been assigned.”

The celebrities serving in the public relations department are Lee Jun Ki, Park Hyo Shin, and Lee Dong Gun.

Hip-hop duo Untouchable, who are currently serving in the military band, are scheduled for 100 days of vacation. However with the sudden news of the North Korean dictator’s death, it is not yet clear whether the two will be able to take their vacation.

Untouchable’s agency stated, “The two members of Untouchable are supposed to come out for their first break at the end of this year, but in case [they aren't able to], we are a little worried for them. We just hope that they will perform their duties with good health.”

Currently, there are no celebrity soldiers who are serving on the front line. Although Hyun Bin was originally stationed as a combat soldier, he’s been serving in the public relations department since November.

Rain, who is currently serving as an assistant instructor, is also carrying out his normal duties and has not seen much change so far. Wheesung has also been appointed as an assistant instructor and is currently undergoing additional training.

T-Max’ Kim Joon and Paran‘s Ryan, who entered service in September, are currently serving as a conscripted police officer and a member of the Air Force band, respectively.

Ever since Lee Ji Ah was discovered to have been in a secret relationship with Seo Taiji, her identity became the stuff of mystery. Netizens endeavouring to find out more about Lee Ji Ah’s past weren’t able to do so, until a family friend of 40 years disclosed some insider information on her family through an interview.

On December 19th, Jung Dae Chul revealed that Lee Ji Ah’s grandfather was a prominent citizen of Seoul.

“Lee Ji Ah’s grandfather is the late Kim Soon Heung, a prominent figure in the education business. During his time, there were only two homes the size of 180-pyeong within Seoul. One belonged to the late former president Yoon Bo Sun, and the other belonged to the late Kim Soon Heung,” he said.

He continued, “Lee Ji Ah’s grandfather was passionate about education and set up the Seoul Arts High School out of his own expense.”

Ülkenin en popüler kiz gruplari olan Girls' Generation ve Wonder Girls, tekrar dostça bir yaris içerisinde. Yeni albümleri ve yeni tarzdaki sahne performanslariyla müzik endüstrisi kizismakta.

Bir idol grubu için en önemli faktörlerden biri dans ve giyimdir. Bu nedenle, düsünülünce iki grup da dans pistine son modayi tasimak için ugrasiyor. Bu sezon, Wonder Girls kadinsi görünümüyle ve Girls’ Generation da siyah ve beyazin ana tonlariyla sik bir görünüm ortaya koyuyor.

Bu iki grup, bes yil önce ilk kez sahneye çiktiklarinda, ufak degisiklikler yapilmis okul üniformalariyla sevimli bir görüntü olusturuyorlardi. Çikis yaptiklarinda her iki grup da kiz ögrenci görünümünü yansitmayi amaçlamistir. Bunun üzerinden 5 yil geçti ve kizlar artik moda anlayislarini degistirdiler.

Wonder Girls, 70'lerin kendine güvenen, hareketli kizlarini yansitmak için leopar baskili giysiler kullandi. "Nobody"de 60'larin eskiye dönük görünümü piril piril kiyafetler ile tamamlandi.

Yeni sarkilari "Be My Baby"deki kiyafetlerleri için kadinsi bir hava verildi ve eski dönem imaji böylece son buldu.

JYP Entertainment'in halkla iliskiler grubundan Han Soo-jeong, "Bu sarkidaki kiyafetleri, Hollywood'un ünlü yildizi Katy Perry'nin bir stilisti olan Johnny Wujek seçti." seklinde konustu. "Wonder Girls, canli renkleri geride birakarak siyah ve beyaz gibi sade renkler üzerinde odaklandi. Sade renkler, yogun bir görünüm vermek ve kadinsi taraflarini göstermek için kullanilmistir." diye devam etti.

Hem Girls 'Generation hem de Wonder Girls ile birlikte fotograf çekimlerinde çalismis olan bir stilist, gruplarin kendi kilik kiyafetiyle çesitlilik gösterdigini söyledi. Onlarin moda anlayislari, müzikleri ile birlikte gelismektedir.

Girls’ Generation and the Wonder Girls, the nation’s most popular girl groups, are competing in a friendly fight again - heating up the music industry with new albums and new types of stage performances.

The must-have factors for an idol group are dance and fashion, so it’s a given that these two groups are working to bring high-fashion to the dance floor. This season, while the Wonder Girls flaunt femininity, Girls’ Generation puts forth a chic look with black and white as their main tones.

Five years ago, when these two groups first appeared on stage, they pursued a preppy look, applying slight adjustments to the original school uniform. Upon their debut, both groups aimed to convey a schoolgirl image. Half a decade has passed, and with it their fashion has changed.

In August of 2007, Girls’ Generation broke through with bright dance music.

“Into The New World” was performed with the girls wearing Converse shoes and pastel-colored skirts. A remake of the veteran singer Lee Seung-chul’s 1989 hit song “Girls’ Generation” was their follow-up song in November 2007.

For “Gee” and “Genie” in 2009, Girls’ Generation dressed in uniforms, grouping the nine members together and amplifying their appeal.

The sensual uniform outfit of “Genie” and cheerleader concept of “Oh” was finished in this manner. For “Run Devil Run,” in early 2010, the girls, came up with the image of Jessica Alba in “Sin City,” and styled the girls as “Bond girls” for the song “Hoot” in late 2010.

The outfits for Girls’ Generation’s new track “The Boys” were matched to the confident song and lyrics.

As for the Wonder Girls, the girl group took the stage with “Irony” for the first time in February of 2007. The song was a dynamic dance song about being unable to believe a boyfriend that is acting innocent. By presenting a modified preppy look, the girls conveyed the image of a bubbly teenage girl.

Their following tracks “Tell Me” in late 2007, “So Hot” and “Nobody” in 2008 were their retro trilogy, bringing them the image of “retro girl-group.” Though they were all retro concepts, slight variations were given depending on the impression of the song.

“Tell Me,” a song with strong disco beats, represented the ’80s with colorful leggings and lace outfits. Lyrics of “So Hot” portray women who are tired of being so beautiful.

To present confident, lively girls of the ’70s, the Wonder Girls used leopard print. Jazzed-up sparkling outfits that resonated a sense of the ’60s completed the retro look for “Nobody.”

The new “Be My Baby” has broken free from the old retro look, and the outfits also amplify a feminine image.

“Johnny Wujek, stylist of Hollywood’s famous Katy Perry, decided on this song’s outfits,” said Han Soo-jeong of the public relations group of JYP Entertainment. “By focusing on neutral colors such as black and white, the Wonder Girls left behind their vibrant colors. Instead, the neutral colors portray intensity, and see-through fabric was used to show off their femininity.”

A stylist who has worked at various photo shoots with both Girls’ Generation and the Wonder Girls said the groups are showing off their diversity through their fashion. Their fashion, along with their music, is developing as the years go by.

AA gets warm for the winter with ‘CeCi’

AA 'CeCi' ile kis için isiniyor

AA çikis yapali yalnizca bir ay oldu ama yil sona ermeden önce tüm idoller faaliyetten faaliyete kostugundan, haliyle AA de durmuyor. Grup ilk kez, 'CeCi' magazin dergisinin kis temali fotograf çekimi için objektif karsisina geçti.

Üyeler, kis giysileri içerisindeki rahat ve sicak görünüsleriyle kendi stillerini ortaya çikararak büyüleyici cazibelerini gösteriyorlar.

Fotograf çekiminin tamami 'CeCi' magazinin Ocak 2012 sayisinda bulunacak.

It’s only been a month since their debut, but that’s not stopping AA from doing every idol activity before the year’s end. The group recently participated in their first winter photoshoot for ‘CeCi‘ magazine.

Looking warm and snug in their winter outfits, the members played up their charms to bring out the best in their styles.

Their full photoshoot can be seen through the January 2012 edition of ‘CeCi’ magazine.
