Kotmaul köyün çiçeğinin adıdır.
Dongha köyü çiçeği Kotmaul ile tanınır. Her yıl kasabada Baraebong tarafından Cheolchukje (Rhododendron Festivali)düzenleniyor ve köye 500.000 ziyaretçi çekiyor. Dongha Maul’da daha çok orada oturanlar çiçekler için toprağı işliyor bu şekilde çiçekler sadece çiçek değil onların yaşam yolu.
Baraebong’ u kucak dolusu çiçekle görebilirsiniz –Baharın Merkür’ü- Nisan ayında seni Ütopya kadar muhteşem görüntüsü ile büyüleyebilir.
Köyde mor doludur. Hafif esen meltem o mor bulutlar gibi sürüklenir. Başka bir zevk ise bölgedeki karışık çiçek kültürünü ziyaret etmektir.
Mor bulutlar dağı bir örtü gibi kaplar ve puslu hüzünlü zambaklarla dolu dağın eteğini görünce kendinizi çiçek cennetinde gibi hissedebilirsiniz. Göz zevkine ek olarak burada insanlar geleneksel yemekler yapar. Dongdongju (pirinç şarabı) temiz suda demlenir, domuz ahırında siyah domuzlar vardır, istiridye mantarları ve çam mantarları geleneksel halk mutfağından bir çeşittir.

ÇEVRE

Köyün Adının Kökeni:
Unbong’un tüm bölgelerindeki köylerin adları çok eski Çin zamanından sonra aynı coğrafi özellikte seçildi. Köyün adının yanı sıra bölgelerinin nehirlerinin isimleri hemen hemen aynıydı. 1972 yılında idari kolaylık sağlamak için Dongcheon’dan gelen adı Dong Maul olarak değiştirildi.

Köyün Oluşumu Ve Geçişi:
Goryeo Hanedanı’nın ilk zamanlarında Park ailesi Milyang kaynaklı bir köy kurdu ve neslini devam ettirdi. Köyün doğuşundaki bayırdan akan Kunnae-myeon nehiri yüzünden Unbong’un adı Dongcheon-ri oldu. Dongcheon-ri ve Sandeok-ri’nin bir parçasında olan Nam-myeo Unbong da birleşti. Namwon-gun’dan sonra tüm ilçeler 1914’te idari kolaylık için düzenlenmiştir. Dongcheon Dongsang-ri ve Dongha-ri olarak 1972’de 2’ye bölündü. Mayıs 1995’te Dongha-ri Unbong-myeon ve Unbong-eup’tan yönetimsel olarak yüseldi..

Boyut Ve Köy Nüfusu:
Mart 2001 sonu itibari ile, köyün 1.4% raporu ile toplam alan 101ha’dir. Buradaki 135 ev Unbong-eup 5.2%’sinin raporudur ve burada oturanların 132si erkek 144 ü kadındır. Bunlar Unbong-eup un 5%’inin raporudur.

Flowers are the very life of our village, enough so that we introduce our village as 'Kotmaul' (Village of Flowers). The well-known Cheolchukje (Rhododendron Festival) is held annually around the Baraebong in the village is one of the most popular festivals attracting 500,000 visitors every year. In Dongha Maul, most of the residents are engaged in the cultivation of flowers so that flowers are not merely flowers but a way of life.
Seeing Baraebong embracing an armful of flowers - Mercury of Spring - in April, you may be enchanted by the magnificent scenery that is just as beautiful as Utopia.
Approaching the village, the world is full of purple. When a gentle breeze is blowing, it drifts like purple clouds. Another pleasure is to visit the floricultural complex located in the village.
Seeing the purple clouds shrouding the mountain and the baby's breath misty blues and the lilies at the foot of the mountain, you may feel as if you are in a enchanting flower paradise. In addition to the pleasure to the eyes there is a variety of traditional folk cuisine including Dongdongju (rice wine) brewed with clean water, black pigs raised in an open pigsty, oyster mushrooms and new pine mushrooms stimulating the appetite in Dongha Maul.
Along the conveniently stretched road, you can come to Unbong Dongha Maul in Namwon sooner than you think. You shall always be welcome. Please come and feel at home.

Environment

The Origin of the Name of the Village

The whole area of Unbong was named after a village in ancient China which had the same geographical features. In addition to the name of the village, all the names of the sub-areas and rivers were almost identical. In 1972, the village located down from Dongcheon was renamed Dongha Maul for administrative convenience.

Formation and Transition of the Village

In the early Goryeo Dynasty, the Park family originating from Milyang, formed a village and lived here generation after generation.
The village located on the east bank of the river running through Kunnae-myeon in Unbong was named Dongcheon-ri. Dongcheon-ri and a part of Sandeok-ri in Nam-myeon were merged in Unbong-myeon, Namwon-gun when all the districts were reorganized in 1914. Dongcheon was divided into Dongsang-ri and Dongha-ri for administrative convenience in 1972. In May 1995, the upper administrative unit of Dongha-ri was upgraded from Unbong-myeon to Unbong-eup.

Size and Population of the Village

As of the end March 2001, the village accounts for 1.4% of the total Unbong-eup in land by 101ha. The dry field occupies 4% of the cultivation area by 4.4ha while paddy fields occupy 96% with 70.6ha and others occupy 29% of the total land by 29ha. There are 135 houses that account for 5.2% of the total number of houses of Unbong-eup and 276 residents consisting of 132 men and 144 women that account for 5% of the total population of Unbong-eup.
