Bu hanok, orta Joseon Hanedanlığı’nın üst düzey yetkilisi Hwang Jeong (1426-1497)’un erdemi ve ailevi saygısını öğrenme onurunu bahşetmek için inşa edilmiştir. Başlangıçta 1545 yılında (Joseon Hanedanlığı Kral Myeongjong saltanatının içine 1 yıl) Chubojae adıyla kurulmuştur ama bir yıl içerisinde fazla zarar görmüştür. 1915’te restore edilmiş ve ismi Dobong Seodang olarak değiştirildi.
Dobong Seodang ismindeki 5'e 1.5 kan* konferans salonu bir adet ön ahşap veranda, yanlarında ve arkasında dar ahşap zeminler ile donatılmıştır. 4'e 1.5 kan ölçülerindeki mihrap (Sangheodang) ve çalışma alanı (Yeoneojae) binanın güney ve doğu tarafında üçgen çatılara sahiptir. Hanok, 16 Şubat 2006 tarihinde Gyeongsangbuk-do’nun 497. Kültürel Hazinesi olarak tayin edildi.

Introduction
This hanok was built to honor the learning, virtue and filial piety of Hwang Jeong (1426-1497), a high-ranking official from the mid Joseon Dynasty. Originally it was established with the name Chubojae in 1545 (1 year into the reign of King Myeongjong from the Joseon Dynasty), but it suffered much damage over the years. In 1915, the site was restored and renamed Dobong Seodang.
The 5-by-1.5 kan* lecture hall, named Dobong Seodang, is fitted with a wooden veranda in the front, and narrow wooden floors on the sides and back. The shrine (Sangheodang) measures 4 by 1.5 kans and the study (Yeoneojae) has gabled roofs on the southern and eastern sides of the building. The hanok was designated as the 497th Cultural Relic of Gyeongsangbuk-do on February 16, 2006.
