Busan Has More to Offer Than Trendy Beaches

Busan Popüler Plajlardan Daha Fazlasını Sunuyor



Birçok insan Busan seyahatini düşünürken hemen kentin doğu kesiminde yer alan alanlar ve faaliyetleri düşünür. Haeundae Plajı’nda güneşlenmek, Gwangan Köprüsü’nde gece görüntüsü almak ve Suyoung Koyu’nda denize yelken açmak şehrin doğu kesiminde bulunan popüler aktivitelerden birkaçıdır.

Ama son zamanlarda Busan Başkent Hükümeti, Nakdong Nehri ve Gimhae Uluslararası Havalimanı'na yakın şehrin az kalabalık olan batı kesimine daha fazla dikkat çekmek için planlar yapmaya başladı. Batı Busan bölgesinde endüstriyel fabrika kompleksleri gelişmemiş ve evler geri kalmışken Haeundae bölgesi küresel lüks markalar ve görkemli oteller için etkin bir alışveriş yeri haline gelmiştir.



Batı Busan aynı zamanda seyahat için etkin bir nokta potansiyeline sahip olduğunu göstermek için Busan Turizm Örgütü yerel bir seyahat acentası ile deneme turu programları başlattı. Aralık ayından bu yana, organizasyon alanına yapılan turlar test edilmiş ve bu aydan sonra seyahat rotalarında düzenli olarak çalışılacağı kararı verilecek.

Busan Turizm Örgütü pazarlama müdürü Park Jin-woo: "Bizim batı Busan mevcut kaynaklarını daha iyi kullanmamız için zamana ihtiyacımız var.""Köklü bir değişiklik yapmak biraz zaman alacak, ama turizm altyapısının daha fazla turist çekmesi önümüzdeki yıllarda artacaktır." dedi.



Göçmen kuşlar sık sık Nakdong Nehri yakınındaki gelişmemiş bölgelerde, batı Busan ana turizm noktalarında vardır. Asya'daki en büyük göçmen kuş cenneti olarak adlandırılan Eulsukdo Adası, daha fazla kuş ağırlamak için restore edilme sürecindedir.

Adada, Eulsukdo Ekoloji Park’ı uzun boylu sazlar ile doludur. Kuşların kanatlarını dinlendirmeleri ve midelerini doldurmak için birçok gölet vardır. Heyecan arayanlar için park çevresinde rahatlatıcı bir yürüyüş yapmak zevkli olmayabilir, ama iyi döşenmiş yollarla birlikte sakin bir seyir için arkadaşlar ve randevudaki çiftler arasında popüler olmuştur. Bisikletler saatlik kiralama için kullanılabilir, araba ile girilebilen bir tiyatroya gidebilir ve bunun dışında adada ziyaretçiler günlük gezi yapabilirler.

Batı Busan yeni otobüs gezilerini düzenlemek için yaptırılan seyahat acentası Yeohaeng Teukgong Dae başkanı Son Min-soo’ya göre, açık hava parkı yetişkinler arasında popüler olsa da çocuklar, ebeveynleri ile birlikte Nakdong Estuary Eco Center’ın keyfini çıkarabilir.

Merkez, göçmen kuşların alışkanlıklarını açıklamak için pek çok interaktif bilgi panoları ile donatılmıştır. Ayrıca diğer kuşlar ile birlikte ördek ve kuğular, tundra dolu küçük bir göl manzarası sunan geniş taban penceresi ile çocukların dikkatini çekecektir. Teleskoplar kuşlara daha yakından bakma fırsatı sunmak için pencere tarafından kullanılabilir ve hatta bir kuşun başı gibi şekillendirilir.

Eko merkezi deneyimini inşa etmek için Son, tur boyunca izlenmesi gereken bazı hikayeleri ile ziyaretçi sağlamaya karar verdi. Merkez ziyareti öncesinde programın önde gelen tur rehberleri, adanın Asya'daki göçmen kuşlar için en büyük ev olarak yerini kaybetmesi ve iklim değişikliğinde nasıl ayrıntılı olarak rol oynadığını anlatıyor.

Batı Busan hakkında günlük duyulan hikayelerden sonra, ziyaretçiler bazı fotoğraf fırsatları için Songdo Plajı'nda yürüyüşe alınır. Gezginler, arka plandaki plaj veya açık deniz ile sığ sularda köprü kurabilmektedir. İnsanlar, sanki yoğun dalgaların üzerinde yürüyor gibi hissettiği için köprünün bazı parçaları şeffaf cam ile kaplıdır.

When people think about traveling to Busan, many immediately think of the areas and activities located in the eastern part of the city. Sunbathing on Haeundae Beach, taking in the nightscape of Gwangan Bridge and sailing out to sea from Suyoung Bay are a few of the popular activities available in the eastern part of town.

But recently, the Busan Metropolitan Government has been coming up with plans to bring more attention to the less-crowded western part of the city, closer to the Nakdong River and Gimhae International Airport. While the Haeundae area has become a shopping mecca for global luxury brands and hot spot for grandiose hotels, many areas of western Busan have remained underdeveloped and home to industrial factory complexes.



To show that western Busan also has potential as a travel hot spot, the Busan Tourism Organization has launched trial tour programs with a local travel agency. Since December, the organization has been testing out tours in the area, and after this month, it will decide if it will run regular travel routes there.

“It is about time for us to make better use of the resources available in western Busan,” said Park Jin-woo, marketing manager for the Busan Tourism Organization. “It will take some time to make any drastic change, but the tourism infrastructure will improve in the coming years in a way that attracts more tourists.”



The undeveloped areas near the Nakdong River, where migratory birds frequent, are the main tourism spots in western Busan. Eulsuk Island, which used be called the largest migratory bird sanctuary in Asia, is in the process of being restored to welcome more birds.

On the island, the Eulsukdo Ecology Park is filled with tall reeds. There are also many ponds where birds can rest their wings and fill their stomachs. Those looking for excitement might not enjoy a relaxing walk around the park, but the well-paved trails have been popular among couples on dates and friends looking for some quiet time together. Bicycles are available for hourly rental, and there is a drive-in theater, so visitors to the island can make a day trip out of it.

While the outdoor park is popular among adults, parents with children can enjoy the Nakdong Estuary Eco Center, according to Son Min-soo, president of Yeohaeng Teukgongdae, the travel agency commissioned to arrange new bus trips in western Busan.

The center is equipped with many interactive information boards to explain the habits of migratory birds. Plus, the large floor-to-ceiling window offering views of a small lake filled with ducks and tundra swans, along with other birds, will catch children’s eyes. Telescopes are available by the window to offer a closer look at the birds, and some are even shaped like the head of a bird.

To build on the experience of the eco center, Son decided to provide visitors with some stories to follow throughout the tour. Prior to visiting the center, tour guides leading the program will explain why the island has lost its place as the largest home for migratory birds in Asia, and elaborate on how climate change played a role in the change.

“Just simply taking visitors from one place to another on a bus and giving them a brief explanation of each spot does not have the power to make a tour program sustainable,” Son said. “It is the job for those in the tourism industry to continue developing new stories and adding to existing resources so that travelers can have a new eye and see the same things differently.”

After spending the day hearing stories about western Busan, visitors are taken to a skywalk at Songdo Beach for some photo opportunities. On the wooden bridge set up in the shallow waters, travelers can pose with the beach or the open sea in the background. Some parts of the bridge are covered with clear glass so that people can feel as if they are walking right over the crashing waves.
