Burası, Doğulu sanatçı Bae Ryeom (1911-1968)'un yaşadığı hanoktur. Bae Ryeom, Late Autumn gibi eserleriyle ünlü ve hafif, esnek fırça vuruşlarıyla manzara, kuş ve çiçek resimleri çizerek geleneksel resme kendini adamış bir sanatçıdır. Çatısı kiremitli üç şık, ahşap hanok ‘ㅁ’ şekline benzeyen hanok yapısını oluşturur ve toplam alan 128.93㎡'dir. Sahibi, SH Kurumudur ve Şubat 2004'te restorasyonundan sonra Bukchon Konuk Evi olarak adlandırılıp işletilmektedir. Geleneksel banyo, mutfak ve oturma odasına sahip olduğundan geleneksel zerafeti burada anlamak mümkündür. Ayrıca tuvalet de -geleneğe uygun olarak- byeolchae (ayrı bir yapı) şeklinde inşa edilmiştir. Burası yabancılar arasında oldukça popülerdir; sebebi de avlusunda tüm odalardan görülebilen sakin ve şık bir küçük bahçenin olmasıdır.

It is a hanok (traditional Korean house) where Bae Ryeom (1911~1968), an Oriental artist, lived. Bae Ryeom is the artist famous for such pieces as Late Autumn, and who was devoted to realizing the traditional way of painting through drawing pictures of landscapes, birds and flowers with mild, flexible strokes of the brush. Three elegant wooden hanoks with tiled roof form the construction of the shape of ‘ㅁ’ figure, and the total floor area is 128.93㎡. It is owned by SH Corporation and is entrusted and operated as Bukchon Hanok Guest House after its renovation work in February 2004. It is possible to enjoy the traditional refinement since it has a traditional bath, kitchen and living room. Moreover, the restroom - as per tradition - is furnished in a byeolchae (a separated building). It is quite popular for foreigners because a small garden is in the courtyard, which is quiet and elegant and can be seen from any room in the house.
