The sudden competition between Junsu, Nichkhun and Wooyoung. 3 people responsible for cute image in the team. They are called beastly idols because of their physical beauty and powerful dance, but when they get down the stage, they're rather charming and cute. So what the 3 cute 2PM members have in common?



Wooyoung: Well, first of all, we're all men lol

Junsu: But that's what we share in common with the other 3, right? Ah, I came up with something else. The three of us are not from Seoul.

Nichkhun: Ah, right. Wooyoung is from Busan, Junsu is from Daegu, and I'm a Thai. We were all born in different cities, so I think it's interesting how we all have different charms. Wooyoung, what is the charm of Busan?

Wooyoung: Well, the sea is beautiful in Busan, but it's the people who have this kind of affection. Junsu-hyung, what about Daegu?

Junsu: Maybe... Daegu is a region with many beautiful women?

Nichkhun: Ah, is that so~ Thailand is famous for good mannered people!

Junsu: Definitely so. But, despite the fact that Nichkhun has good manners, in our daily lives out of all 6 members, he nags everyone the most.

Nichkhun: I do this, because you don't clean your room. (*^^*)

Wooyoung: That's right! Junsu-hyung takes a very good care of his favourite clothes and things, but other than that, he leaves everything in total chaos!

Junsu: Hey, I also clean up all the time... I mean, I clean up, but...I'm shocked lol

They can pinpoint their flaws and understand each other just like that, eventually, they just laugh everything off!
But isn't it so, because they know each other's secrets well?


Nichkhun: Of course we do~ First off, Wooyoung's secret is that even when we have a day off, he doesn't go out at all, and stays in the dorm all the time.

Wooyoung: I can't go outside, because I don't have any shoes. (lol j/k)

Junsu: Hahaha! Wooyoung likes to surf the web, looking for new songs and then listening to them right?

Wooyoung: Mhm, recently I've been learning composing from Junsu-hyung, so I find it interesting to hum melodies to myself, thinking about the lyrics that would suit it.

Nichkhun: Ok, next, Junsu's secret. Junsu always wears his pants so low that you can see half of his underwear.

Wooyoung: That's right, that's right!!

Junsu: (shyly) kkkk, ok then, next, Nichkhun's secret. Nichkhun looks very gentle and mild, but in fact he's a really fiery guy. It's really surprising.

Nichkhun: (in Japanese) That's not true. Junsu-san is a little bit weird today. (*^^*)

In this kind of energetic atmosphere they were competing who would reveal more secrets.(^^) However, it all ended with Junsu blurting out "Nichkhun is very popular among women. He has a reall appealing waist". Well then, what kind of women fashion do you prefer?

Nichkhun: I don't care about the clothes that much. I think it's attractive when a woman can wear simple outfit in a stylish way.
Neat charm is the most important I think.

Wooyoung: I also like simple things. I like women who, for example, in summer time look good in jeans and t-shirts.

Junsu: As for me, rather than women wearing loose and big size clothes, I prefer them in smart and sharp line.

Nichkhun: So you like sexy style?

Junsu: No, that's not it (embarrassed)

Wooyoung: Junsu-hyung has a habit of unconsciously staring at sexy type of women.

Junsu: … Honestly, I’m a man, so… I can’t help it (lol)

A rare talk which shows surprisingly cool 3 members of the team! These 3 members make the atmosphere feel cool and wild, every
single remark they make emits absolute masculinity. The answers of the 3 men correspond with the image they have in common!

Junho: The thing that we have in common is that while dancing we put too much strength into to, without even realizing it. (laughs) Compared to us, the other 3 members emit a kind of emotional and smooth atmosphere when they dance, but us 3, we're just power.

They have revealed such episodes about men's daily life in the dorm.

Chansung: Not just the 3 of us, all 6 members get along together really well. Naturally, we get angry at each other from time to time, but in such cases we just sit down and talk through things manly, respecting each other's decisions.

Junho: Actually, even though it's good to prevent complaints from piling up, but I think it's more important to be able to accept
a comment, when someone points out your flaws.

Taecyeon: That's right... Therefore, on regular basis we gather up together in the living-room and have an open talk about what's on our minds.

Especially, when they have acrobatics performances during 2PM concerts,Taecyeon says that "We wouldn't be able to perform that way, if we didn't trust each other. So usually we lay firm foundations for teamwork." So is it the same in personal life?

Chansung: Well, first of, Junho is very manly. He's honest with himself and has a strong opinion about things. However, even so, he has a gentle side too.

Junho: Oh, it's kind of embarrassing, he's talking only about good points kkk. But the downside of my personality is that I want
to do everything really fast...

Taecyeon: Chansungie eats a lot. And he has a high tolerance for alcohol.No one can rivals his appetite really.

Chansung: Right, I'm really good at eating and drinking kkk. Taecyeonie-hyung is also very manly, but when he can't wake up in the mornings, it's really troublesome kkk. And his fashion sense... is very... original.

Taecyeon seems to be good at everything and he boasts of extraordinary physical beauty, but he is called fashion terrorist. Junho says: "Hyung's fashion sense is really special". Then, what kind of female fashion do you like?

Taecyeon: I don't know about fashion that much, but I like women in jeans and simple t-shirts.

Junho: As for me, rather than a skirt, I like jeans better. I like women who look good in vintage type of jeans.

Chansung: I just like everything that suits her.

Taecyeon: What if she wears something flamboyant like me?

Chansung: It's ok only if it looks good on her. (lol)

Junho confessed that he's been wearing the same clothes for 2 years straight, because he doesn't have time to go shopping anymore, even though he loves fashion. So, do you have anything that interests you recently?

Taecyeon: Kyoto. Because our Japanese staff member... we were told that if we went to Kyoto we would be able to work for women!! (bwahahaha)

Chansung: I'd like to go to onsen in Japan and relax there. (onsen - japanese hot springs)

Junho: Recently I got interested in composing. I'm still far from being good at it, but I've been working on a few tunes lately. Come to think of it, I've given one complete song for Chansung to listen. How was it?

Chansung: Ah, so-so.

Taecyeon: I've listened to quite a few songs, but is that a normal one? Things that I waaaaaant~ (lol) bam bam bam!! It was like a repetitive bouncy soundtrack from a video game.

Junho: Well then, if someone needs a soundtrack for a video game, please give me a call! I have a song to sell (

2NE1 CL, After School'dan da Park Ga Hee ve UEE denildi. CL güzel ama sesi gerçekten çok güzel. CL'in dansini pek görmedim, 2PM'e dans konusunda ayak uyduramaz. UEE de iyi ama Park Ga Hee kesinlikle o hem sesi çok güzel hem de dansi çok çok iyi. 2PM'e ayak uydururdu. Roman mi yazdim ne.

“Beast Idol” 2PM’s exciting stay in Japan

Beastly and wild look they show us on stage, paired up with cute and innocent character. 2PM captivate girls in Asian countries with these contradictions. People call them “Jimseung-dol (Beastly idol)”! After experiencing the long stay in Japan for the first time in February, I heard a lot of stories from the boys.

Khun- I went to a toyshop in Ginza with Wooyoung in our free time. I had no idea which one to buy because there were a lot of rare items!
Taec- I went out for window- shopping in Shibuya with the other members. Shibuya looks like Myeongdong in Korea, but it is such a busy and vibrant city. I was glad that some people recognized us.
Woo- There were many rare hamsters and small animals at a pet shop in Odaiba. I wish I could take them to Korea.
Su- I like Japanese fashion style. Shopping time cannot be too long for me. I bought some jackets from Adidas and Jeremy Scott

Everyone said the food was the most memorable thing during this long stay.

Ho- I cannot forget the taste of So-ki soba which I had in Okinawa. You’ll find no food tastes like that in Korea.
Su- Sushi! But I didn’t get a chance to eat ootoro tuna~
Khun- Tonkotsu ramen was really good. When I go to Kyushu, I’ll go to eat the real Kyushu tonkotsu ramen for sure!
Woo- I liked the eel-lunch box. It was so soft and melted as soon as I put into my mouth.
Chan- It was so new to me to eat a raw chicken.
Khun- True! My parents used to tell me to eat only well cooked chicken! I was so surprised.

Not only raw chicken, the boys seemed to be surprised at the cultural differences.
Woo- I was surprised the taxi doors opened automatically. The driver stopped me when I tried to open the door. And the door opened by itself! I thought it was a horror story at the first time.
Taec- When we went to the beach in Okinawa, there were no people on the beach. I thought it was a desert island. I will go there again in private-time for sure.
Su- Cities are so clean and easy to live in Japan. There’s no dirt on the road. No matter how you look at it, you’ll love the night view there.
Chan- Fashion is cutting edge and it stimulates me. I’d like to visit Harajuku when I come to Japan next time.
Ho- I want to go shopping in Ura Harajuku because I like vintage clothes.

We are curious about their ideal woman.
Woo- It seems that Japanese people are kind and warm- hearted. I like the way our fans have good manners and watch for us.
Ho- Japanese girls know themselves and pick right clothes by themselves. I like stylish girls.

By the way, Taecyeon thinks the character is more important than the looks.
Taec- I like a girl who is very tough, but when I am down, I want her to cheer me up tenderly.
Chan- Do you want me to teach you a phrase for when you find a favorite girl? It’s “Itsukara sonnani kawaiino? (Since when are you so pretty?)”
Taec- It sounds too much. Do they even like such a phrase nowadays?! (laugh)
Ho- Only a drama heroine does!

They will debut in Japan on May 18th with a single called [Take Off]
Woo- In Korea, we have many dark and strong songs. However, [Take Off] is a very positive and fresh song. I think you’ll see a new version of us.
Taec- This song tells you to take a new step into a new world, and it also represents us well.
Chan- The difficult thing when I recorded was the accent. [Tsu] [Chi] [Za] sounds were very hard…(cries)
Khun- We took on this action of a plane about to take off into the dance. It’s so easy for you to try! I hope you guys enjoy dancing with us.

They are now getting ready for their first tour.
Ho- It will be like a party-concert so that you all can enjoy.
Chan- I hope you’ll come to see our burning stage!!!

JH: Have a fantastic married life and spend a happy time with children.

CS: I want to continue acting as well as being a singer. I would also like to spend more time personally.
WY: I will still be in the music field.

Stirring melody and acrobatic performances---2PM grabs your heart and never lets you go. Their first Japanese single [Take Off] will attract you with pop and refreshing melody, just representing 2PM’s new start. We asked their feelings about Japanese debut single [Take Off]

Enjoy their bright talk, just like the tune of [Take Off].

-----Hello, I hope you are ready this early morning.

Taec: (In Japanese) It’s not morning right now! It’s… 11:40am! It’s noon. Lunch time~.

----- You’re talking funny. As a matter of fact, you must be sleepy, aren’t you?

Taec: I’m Okay! Let’s begin!

-----OK then… the new single [Take Off] sounds so different from the usual 2PM songs, doesn’t it?

Taec: Since I was shooting Dream High, I was the last one to listen to the song. As you said before, it was a totally different style and I got bewildered at first. However, we can sing those kinds of songs only while we are young, so I’m trying to enjoy singing that.

Woo: Honestly, I was also worried about the song at first, but as I listened to it again and again, I became so addicted to it. It has some kind of magical power.

Khun: 10/10 is the most animated song of ours. [Take Off] is even more cheerful than 10/10, so it was very new to me.

Junsu: Lyrics are very positive. And I thought the code is interesting too.

----- It gave me an impression of your inner side.
Taec: It’s not all about us yet!

Junsu: We are livelier!

-----JYP and SuperChangttai made this song together, right? Did they give you a piece of advice about how to sing?

Junsu: JYP sang in Korean for us and we got what he wanted us to do. We have been with him for 3 years, and we know how he feels without a word.

Taec: Super Changttai told us to enjoy and sing this song.

Junsu: He let us do it with our style, not just following the music score.

Woo: In my case, I recorded while I was shooting Dream High. It was hard for me to sing when I was tired.

Junho: I wrote the meaning of lyrics in Hiragana, Hangeul and Latin alphabet. I read it many times before recording.

Khun: We all discussed this song and how we should sing it, each member helped out the others while recording and made it a better song. Taec and Woo couldn’t come to the meeting because of the drama shooting, so I think it was even harder for us to “grab” the song.

----- Which part was hard, in particular?

Chan: For me, [TSU] [CHI] [ZA] those sounds were very difficult. I picked up those parts and recorded them many times. Japanese staff members helped me a lot.

Taec: Rap part consists mostly of the English, I arranged a bit by myself.

----- When I listened to this song for the first time, I thought the song would be perfect to listen in the morning.

Woo: Morning, it would be nice to set it as your alarm.

Taec: For me, the beginning of the song is very slow, I might go back to sleep again. lol

Junsu: The main part would do then.

Junsu: The parts “I’ll be~” and “with you~”.

----- That’s Chan’s part right?

Junsu: Melody and lyrics are matching well. I do the chorus, and I did some adlibs afterwards.

Taec: I like the phrase “Kore wo Unmei to yobunda (it’s what we call FATE)” because I believe in fate.

Junho: I like that phrase too. I don’t believe in fate though. I’d rather work on my life than rely on fate.

Chan: I like the words “Tsuyoi yuuki ni naru mahou no kotoba (the magical word makes me stronger)”

----- Romantic phrases… by the way, what are your magical words which make you stronger?

Junho: That’s fan’s voice. 2! P! M! Jun! Ho! Jjang! Sa! Rang! Hae!

Chan: Umm, let me see…

Woo: For Chan, it would be “Shall I buy you a dinner?”

Chan: Yeah, it would be perfect!

----- Are there any special dance moves?

Khun: Of course. I think everyone can do it easily.

Woo: It’s just like the airplanes flight with 2 wings.

Junsu: Our choreographer made all of them.

----- Do you like it?

Khun: Yes! And it’s simple!

Junsu: Is that the only reason why you like it? lol

----- But I heard your staff members saying the choreography is not easy at all.

Khun: True, but I believe it’s much easier to dance together with the audience to that song, compared to our Korean songs dances.

Taec: Each move is simple, but when 6 of us do that together, it’s harder.

----- [Take Off] is chosen as the title song of animation, “Ao no exorcist”. It must be exciting news for Anime freak Taecyeon?

Taec: Since we are newcomers in Japan, I feel we’ve got such a big chance.

Khun: When I was a child, I ran to the TV as soon as I heard the Anime’s title song. I’m glad to sing those songs which make kids excited.

Taec: We’re gonna be kids’ heroes~!

Khun: (Sing Doraemon’s song) It’s just like Doraemon. lol

-----Doraemon was aired in Thailand too?

Khun: Doraemon was aired in Japanese, and there were Thai subtitles on it. Detective Conan and Cardcaptor Sakura too.

Taec: We’ll be very happy if kids remember the song when they grow up.

----- Another song is the Japanese version of Heartbeat, right?

Khun: It was just weird for me at first.

Junsu: Yes. Especially, my part, “Uh Uh girl…” sounded so weird.

Taec: In my case, I didn’t even realize that it contained some English words in my part. è“Kanari DEEP na BEATS ga…” I tried hard to fit English words into Japanese pronunciation.

----- Are there any other differences between the Japanese version and the Korean version?

Junsu: Yes, we made the base sound stronger.

Khun: It’s more dynamic now. I’d say Korean version is 2D, and Japanese version is 3D.

Taec: Even though I listen to it on my laptop stereo, I can hear the strong base.

Junho: I guess you just got a nice laptop..? lol

----- What did you think about the recording then?

Junho: Accent was difficult for this song as well. I tend to make the notes longer. I’d sing “Ihimaa~ mooo~ hi~bi~kiii~” instead of “Ima mo hibiki”.

Chan: In my case, my part is “wae ajikdo…” in Korean, but it becomes “when did you kono ai…” in Japanese. It was hard to get the timing right.

----- Don’t you mix up Korean and Japanese?

Junsu: Yes, it is confusing but I will sing Japanese version a lot from now on, I think I’ll get used to it.

----- How did your fans react to the Japanese version of Heartbeat at Mezamashi Super Live a few days ago?

Taec: That stage was very valuable. I heard their cheering voices when the music started. However, when I started to sing it in Japanese, they just stopped screaming.

Junho: It was like “What!? Are they singing in Japanese perhaps?!” I felt their confusion. lol

Woo: But, once they were assured that we were singing in Japanese, they soon watched for us with warm eyes. I was so glad.

----- Did you get nervous since it was the very first time to sing in Japanese on the stage?

Chan: We do not really get nervous before performance, but we were so worried about the Japanese MC part more.

----- Your Okinawa fans seemed so happy to hear you say “Haisa~i 2PM desu!(*Hello, it’s 2PM in Okinawa dialect)”

----- How’s your Japanese study going?

Chan: We study once in a few days between our schedules. By the way, the newest phrase I learned it “Since when are you that pretty?” This phrase is from the drama “Secret Garden”, and I learned it in advance. lol and… 당든(*it should be 당연)… What’s the meaning of this word?

----- Of course?

Chan: No, it sounded different… I can’t remember. lol I’ll study again.

Junho: “Totonoimashita!”(*famous Japanese comedian’s gag) was a good one before… but I want to find another ones.

----- I count on your new single. At last, tell me your highlights of your concert.

Taec: Not only the “IT’S 2PM” stage, I’d love to show different parts of us on the solo stage. … and kids’ hero 2PM too! Lol

Junho: I don’t know if we are heroes, I’d show you that we are not only beasts.

Khun: I am so looking forward to the concerts, of course, and each city’s food too.

Taec: I want some meat! Meat is necessary for us, beastly idols!

1. Let us know what your name means!
[Junsu] "埈" stands for "high", and "秀" means excellent, so put
together my name's hanja means "high excellence".
[Nichkhun] I don't know T_T
[Taecyeon] Taecyeon means "flowing pond". As I was born in the
year of the Dragon, my name also means "to have a mind of a dragon,
with a heart full of water which does not go stale".
[Wooyoung] 張祐榮. It means "forever overflowing with good fortune".
[Junho] Jun "俊" from "Jungeol" (which means person of excellent
talent and wisdom), and Ho "昊" which means "heaven".
[Chansung] Chan "燦" - shine. Sung "盛" - achieve. It means "Making
an accomplishment by realizing your true self in the light".

2. My boom is?
[Junsu] Composing (I like it the most^^)
[Nichkhun] Boby building
[Taecyeon] "Dream High" (Done with the filming!)
[Wooyoung] Jason. In the middle of "Dream High" filming really
fell in love with the role.

on Twitter, and the clock numbers in those photos coincided with
the winning lottery numbers in Thailand!
[Taecyeon] When I heard a gagman say "sober up!" lol (on TV)
[Wooyoung] We moved to the new dorm and it's huge...
[Junho] Nothing

7. In what position do you sleep?
[Junsu] I roll around sideways
[Nichkhun] I lie down on my side and sleep fully stretched out.

to play basketball a lot during lunch time.

[Taecyeon] I wasn't studying too hard. Although I wouldn't say

[Junsu] I'm a black music freak. I have a Black Music collection
gathered and I am listening to everything from underground to
recent records.

[Taecyeon] I'm a manga freak. Towards the child's world, go go!
[Wooyoung] I'm a football freak. I used to play football for 6
hours straight every weekend in my Middle School days. I used to
relieve stress by shooting goals.
[Junho] I'm a machinery freak. I really enjoy analyzing every single
piece of machinery.
[Chansung] I'm a sports freak. Once I succeeded in body building,
and when my form gets worse I get stressed, so I have to constantly
keep on training.

13. A person you respect?
[Junsu] Kanye West. I'd like to express his own personality as
"culture"...
[Nichkhun] Jinyoung-hyung. He's very serious while at work, but
when we're having fun, he sure knows how to relax.
[Taecyeon] My parents. For raising me up!
[Wooyoung] J.Y.Park. He always tells that we have to be the most
hard-working group in the industry, but in fact, he's the biggest hard-worker ever.
[Junho] Michael Jackson. No need for words!
[Chansung] J.Y.Park. Whether he's singing, acting or making music,
I always think he is controlling himself well
