2011 Ekonomik Yoksulluk Endeksi Tarihinin En Yüksek Üçüncüsü
Ülkenin 2011 ekonomik yoksulluk endeksi şimdiye kadarki en yüksek 3. sırada kaydedildi.
Kore Bankası ve Kore İstatistik Kurumu, işsizlik ve enflasyon oranını ölçen endeksin bu yıl 7.5 olarak kaydedildiğini söyledi. Merkez Bankası, ocak ayından ekim ayına kadar, tüketici fiyatlarının ortalama %4 ve işsizlik oranının %3.5 arttığını söyledi.
Bu oran, 2001’deki 8.1 ve 2008’deki 7.9’dan sonra kaydedilen üçüncü en büyük endeks.
Bu yüksek rakam gerçek gelirdeki düşüş ve enflasyon ve işsizlikteki artıştan kaynaklanıyor.
Uzmanlar, ekonomik ilerlemenin gelecek yıl da işsizliği artıracak şekilde yavaşlaması durumunda ailelerin daha fazla yoksulluk yaşayacaklarını söylüyor.

The nation’s economic misery index for 2011 posted the third highest ever to be recorded.
The Bank of Korea and Statistics Korea say the index, which measures the sum of the unemployment and the inflation rates, recorded a seven-point-five this year. The central bank said consumer prices rose an average of four percent and the unemployment rate three-and-a-half percent from January to October.
This is the third highest index recording following eight-point-one in 2001 and seven-point-nine posted in 2008.
The high figure this year is due to a drop in real income and a surge in inflation and unemployment.
Experts say if economic growth further slows down next year to raise unemployment, households will feel an increased sense of misery.
