SB Planlandığı Gibi Jeju’da Deniz Üssü İnşa Edecek
Savunma Bakanlığı, yerel yönetimin erteleme isteğine rağmen Jeju’da deniz üssü inşa etme planına devam edecek.
Bakanlık sözcüsü Kim Min-seok salı günü bilgilendirme sırasında deniz üssünün 29 Şubatta Başbakanlık Dairesinin duyurduğu plana göre inşa edileceğini söyledi.
Jeju Valisi Woo Keun-min pazartesi günü bir basın konferansında hükümetten planı geçici olarak ertelemesini istemişti. Jeju yerel hükümeti ve Deniz Kuvvetlerinin inşa projesinin etkileri üzerine ada ve çevresinde temsili bir anket düzenlemelerini de önerdi.

The Defense Ministry will go ahead with its plan to build a naval base in Jeju, despite the provincial government’s request for a delay in construction.
Ministry spokesman Kim Min-seok said in a regular news briefing Tuesday that the naval base will be built as scheduled in line with a plan announced by the Prime Minister’s Office on February 29th.
Jeju Governor Woo Keun-min asked the government to temporarily shelve the plan in a news conference on Monday. He also proposed that the Jeju provincial government and the Navy conduct an additional simulated survey on the effects the construction project will have on the island and its environment.
