Batan Güney Kore savaş gemisinin gövdesi, Kuzey Kore sınırının yakınlarında Sarı Deniz’in dibinden bir vinçle çekildi. 104 mürettebat taşıyan Cheonan savaş gemisinin, 26 Mart günü anlaşılamayan bir patlama sonucu batıp ikiye bölünmesinin ardından, 39 kişi öldü ve diğer 7 kişi hâlâ kayıp. Geminin çekilmesi için sarfedilen çabaların 24 Nisan günü tamamlanması bekleniyor. Geminin arka kısmı zaten çekilip kurtarılmıştı.

The stem of a sunken South Korean warship is pulled from the bottom of the Yellow Sea by a crane near the border with North Korea on April 23. The Cheonan, carrying a crew of 104, sank after an unexplained explosion ripped it in two on March 26, leaving 39 dead and seven others missing. Efforts to salvage the bow are expected to be completed on April 24. The stern has already been recovered.
