Politikacılara Saldırı Amacıyla Kötü Amaçlı Yorumlarda Bulunan Yazarlar Para Cezası Aldı
Seoul Merkez Bölge Mahkemesi, geçen yıl 26 Ekim seçimlerinde olumsuz yazılar yazmak suçuyla itham edilen 3 kişiye 800 bin wonluk para cezası verdi.
Mahkeme, bu 3 kişinin iktidardaki Büyük Ulusal Parti’nin adayı Na Kyung-won ve muhalefet cephesi adayı Seoul Belediye Başkanı Park Won-soon hakkında iftira attığını ve yanlış yorumlar yazdığını açıkladı.
Mahkeme, mesajların seçime sadece bir hafta kala yazıldığı için geniş bir alana yayıldığını ve suçun ağır olduğunu söyledi.
Mahkeme, sanıkların hukuk karşıtı karalama ya da sonuçlarının farkında olmadıklarından ağır cezaların söz konusu olmadığını söyledi. Hakim heyeti, suçlu bireylerin çok sayıda yazı yazmadıklarını ve eylemlerinden pişman olduklarını ekledi.

The Seoul Central District Court said Saturday it has fined three people 800-thousand won each after they were indicted on charges of writing malicious posts online during the October 26 by-elections last year.
The court said the three wrote defamatory or false comments on media reports about the opposition camp’s candidate for Seoul mayor Park Won-soon and then-ruling Grand National Party’s candidate Na Kyung-won.
The court said the posts were highly prone to wide dissemination online and the crime severe since the posts were made just a week before the election.
The court also said it was not issuing heavier fines since the accused were not aware of the anti-defamation law or the consequences that could result from their behavior. The judge panel added that the guilty individuals did not write a large number of posts and regretted their actions deeply.
