Güney Kore’de Gelir Eşitsizliği Arttı

Metrik eşitsizlik, 2007 ile 2009 arasındaki anketlerde sırasıyla beş-nokta-altı, beş-nokta-yedi ve beş-nokta-yedi olarak gerçekleşmişti. 2010 yılında, beş-nokta-altıya düştü ve daha sonra beş-nokta-yediye yükseldi.

South Korea’s wealth disparity is larger than expected, according to government survey data released this year.
The extensive survey, conducted by Statistics Korea on household finances and welfare, says the average annual income of South Korea’s upper 20 percent on the social ladder was about 50 million won. The bottom 20 percent earned an average seven-point-two million won. An income inequality metric comparing the incomes of the top and bottom 20 percent stood at six-point-nine.
The metric number is found by dividing the average income of the top 20 percent of the income ladder by the bottom 20 percent’s average income.
The number was larger than last year’s figure of five-point-seven, indicating that South Korea’s wealth gap has widened considerably since then.
The inequality metric used in the survey from 2007 through 2009 stood at five-point-six, five-point-seven and five-point-seven, respectively. In 2010, it fell to five-point-six and then rose to five-point-seven last year.
