Seoul, Uluslararası Organizasyonları Güney Kore’ye Çekecek
Seoul Büyükşehir Yönetimi, doğrudan dış yatırım çekmek ve ülkede yeni işler oluşturmak amacıyla uluslararası organizasyonların Seoul’de üs kurmaya çekmek için bu yıl girişimlere yoğunlaşacaklarını söyledi.
Seoul şehri, dünyanın diğer bölge ve şehirleriyle ağını genişletmek için dünyanın her yerinden sivil toplum örgütleri ve kar amacı gütmeyen sivil gruplarla birlikte projeler başlatacak. Bu girişimler yoluyla Seoul, global organizasyonları Kore başkentine çekmeyi amaçlayacak.
Geçen yıl 3 organizasyon Güney Kore’de şube açtı: Uluslararası Baro Birliği Asya Genel Merkezi, Seoul Uluslararası Tahkim Merkezi ve Trans-Avrasya Bilgi Ağı İşbirliği Merkezi.
Bu yıl Seoul, Yerel Çevre Girişimleri Uluslararası Konseyi’nin Doğu Asya bölümü ve Bioçeşitlilik ve Ekosistem Servisleri Üzerine Hükümetlerarası Bilim Politikası Platformu’nun dünya genel merkezini Seoul’e çekmeyi amaçlıyor.
Bu amaç için, Dünya Bankası ve BM Asya ve Pasifik Ekonomi ve Toplum Komisyonu ile ortak girişimlerle vatandaşlar için projeleri sürdürecek.
Seoul, daha fazla BM acentası ve başkanlığının Kore’de, global yetenek ve uzmanlığı teşvik etmek için iş ve staj oluşturmasına yardımcı olacak üslere sahip olması için çabalayacak.
Seoul yetkilileri 2014 itibarıyla Seoul’e 15 uluslararası organizasyon getirmeyi planlıyor.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government says it will focus efforts this year to attract international organizations to set up bases in South Korea in order to draw foreign direct investment and create jobs at home.
Seoul City will launch projects with nongovernmental organizations and nonprofit civic groups worldwide to expand its network with other regions and cities in the world. Through these efforts, Seoul will seek to attract global organizations to the Korean capital.
Last year, three organizations opened offices in South Korea: the International Bar Association’s Asia headquarters, the Seoul International Arbitration Center and the Trans-Eurasia Information Network Cooperation Center.
This year, Seoul aims to attract the East Asian chapter of the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives and the world headquarters of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services to Seoul.
For this goal, it will pursue projects for citizens in joint efforts with the World Bank and the U.N. Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific.
Seoul will also seek to have more U.N. agencies and secretariats open bases in Korea which will help create jobs and internships to foster global talent and expertise.
Seoul officials plan to bring in 15 international organizations to Seoul by 2014.
