Park Britanya ve Fransa’ya K. Kore’ye Karşı Yakın İş Birliği Sözü Verdi
Güney Kore’nin Cumhurbaşkanı seçilen Park Geun-hye Pazartesi günü Birleşmiş Milletler Güvenlik Konseyi’nin daimi üyesi olan ülkelerin üst düzey elçileri ile yaptığı görüşmede, özellikle Kuzey Kore ile ilgili meselelerde Britanya ve Fransa ile yakın çalışacağını söyledi.
Park Fransa Büyükelçisi Jerome Pasquier ile görüşmesi sırasında, “Kuzey Kore sorunu yalnızca Kore Yarımadası’nda değil, Kuzeydoğu Asya’nın tamamında barışın kök salması için çok önemli,” dedi. “Umarım (iki ülke) Kuzey Kore’ye doğru tercih yapması ve değişmesi için yardım etmek amacıyla daha yakın iş birliği yapar.”
Park, bir ülke uluslararası bir topluluğun sorumlu üyesi olarak çalışmıyorsa o ülkenin kendini geliştirmesinin zor olduğunu vurguladı ve Güney Kore ve Fransa’nın Pyongyang hareketine destek vermek için iş birliği yapmasını istedi.

South Korean President-elect Park Geun-hye said Monday she will work closely with Britain and France, especially in dealing with North Korea, as she met with the top envoys from the permanent member nations of the U.N. Security Council.
“The issue of North Korea is very important in having peace take root not only on the Korean Peninsula, but also in the entire Northeast Asia,” Park said during a meeting with French Ambassador Jerome Pasquier. “I hope (the two countries) will cooperate more closely at the Security Council to help North Korea make the right choice and change.”
Park stressed that it is difficult for a country to develop itself unless it works with the international community as a responsible member, and she hopes South Korea and France will cooperate closely to help Pyongyang move in that direction.
