Kore’nin Yeni Uydusu Bağlantı Kurdu
Ülkenin yeni çok amaçlı uydusu KOMSAT-5’in başarılı bir şekilde hedef yörüngesine konuşlanmış olduğunu onayladıktan sonra, Seoul’ün 164 kilometre güneyindeki Daejeon’da olan Kore Havacılık ve Uzay Araştırma Enstitüsü’nün yer istasyonu personeli gülümsüyor. “Arirang 5” olarak da bilinen uydu, afetler ve çevre izleme, bir coğrafi bilgi sistemi kuramaya yardım etme gibi görevler için önümüzdeki beş yıl boyunca günde 15 kez yeryüzü etrafında dönecek.

Staff at the Korea Aerospace Research Institute ground station are all smiles on Aug. 23, 2013 in Daejeon, 164 kilometers south of Seoul, after confirming that the country’s new multipurpose satellite, the KOMSAT-5, was successfully deployed into target orbit. The satellite, also known as “Arirang 5,” will circle the earth 15 times a day for the next five years for missions that include monitoring disasters and the environment as well as helping to establish a geographic information system.
