Seongnam, Gyeonggi vilayetinde bir şehirdir. Başkent Seoul yakınında olduğundan dolayı nüfusu fazladır. Ticaret sektörü, diğer büyük Kore şehirleri gibi gelişmiştir. Sektörün ana yeri olan Bundang bölgesi, Seongnam'ın kalbi gibidir ve Seoul'a uzanan Bundang alt geçidiyle şehrin kalanını sağlar. 1991'den beri gelişen şehir adeta bir metropol olmuştur, ayrıca K-futbol kulübü Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma'na buradadır.

Seongnam is the second largest city in South Korea's Gyeonggi province after Suwon and the 9th largest city in the country, with a population of nearly 1 million. The largely residential city is located immediately south of Seoul and belongs to the Seoul National Capital Area. Its largest district is Bundang, which is considered to be one of the wealthiest districts in Gyeonggi province, home to a huge number of multi-skyscraper apartment complexes. The Bundang district serves as Seongnam's downtown and provides the rest of the city with the Bundang subway line, which is connected into Seoul.
