Yi Yong-uk House / 이용욱 가옥

Bu konut Ganggol Köyü'nün ortasında bulunur. Yerel coğrafya nedeniyle evin ön yüzü her zamanki güney oryantasyonu yerine kuzeydoğu yönündedir. Yöre sakini aileler arasında sahiplerinin seçkinliği anlamına gelen soseuldaemun (yüksek giriş kapısı) ile köydeki tek evdir.
Ganggol Köyünün Gwangju Yi klanından Yu Beon tarafından kurulduğu söylenir. Ganggol Köyü'ne yerleşmiş dört oğlunun soyundan gelenlerden bazıları klanın Gye ve Jung alt aileleri olarak bilinen iki altkümesini oluşturdular. Yi Yong-uk evi bunlardan daha güçlü olan Gye'ye aittir. Ev Gye alt klanının yerel faaliyetlerdeki gücünü göstermek için uzun bir ön kapı ile inşa edilmiştir.
Sözlü gelenek evin; şimdiki sahibinin büyük büyük dedesi tarafından 1835 yılında kurulduğunu söyler.

This residence is located in the central part of Ganggol village. Because of the local topography, the house faces northeast instead of the usual southerly orientation. It is the only house in the village with a soseuldaemun (high entrance gate), signifying the preeminence of the owners among the local families.
Ganggol village is said to have been founded by Yu Beon of the Gwangju Yi clan. Some of the descendants of his four sons settled in Ganggol village, forming two subsets of the clan known as the Gye and Jung sub-families. The more powerful of these was the Gye, of which the Yi Yong-uk house belonged. The house was built with a tall front gate to show the dominance of the Gye sub-clan in local affairs.
Oral tradition says that the house was established in 1835 by the great-great grandfather of the present owner.
