Unmun Tapinagi, Kore'nin büyük tapinaklarindan biridir ve Tiger dagindadir. Bir Shilla kesisi, bu dagda bir inziva yerini insa eder. Üç yil süren yogun meditasyondan sonra aydinlanma hedefine ulasir.
Orijinal ismi Taejakgap-sa "Büyük Saksagan Yamaci" tapinagidir. Koryo Hanedanligini kuran kral 937 yilinda ismini "Bulut Kapisi" anlamina gelen Unmun-sa olarak degistirir.
Tapinak 500 yasinda ünlü bir agaca sahiptir. 1950 yilinda Unmun-sa tapinagi Kore'de en büyük bhikkuni egitim merkezi olmustur.

Unmun-sa Temple is one of Korea's major temples and it is situated on Tiger mountain. A Shilla monk built a hermitage on this mountain and, after three years of intensive meditation, he attained enlightenment.
Originally called Taejakgap-sa "Great Magpie Hillside" Temple, in 937 the king who founded the Koryo Dynasty changed the name to Unmun-sa, meaning "Cloud Gate" Temple.
The temple has a famous tree. Said to be 500 years old, legend tells that it grew up from a branch planted by a passing monk. In 1950, Unmun-sa Temple became the largest bhikkuni training center in Korea. About 250 students regularly follow a three to four year course in Buddhism.
