K-pop Music Video Nominees for Philippines' Myx Music Award Awards

The Philippines' #1 music channel, MYX, will be holding their MMA awards this March, and have included a "Favorite K-pop Music Video" category in light of the recent Hallyu wave.

MYX, the top music channel in the Philippines, will hold their annual MYX Music Awards, abbreviated as MMA, this upcoming March 15, 2011.

The awards ceremony will honor artists under categories such as favorite artist, favorite song, etc. The voting began February 7th, and will continue until March 7th, 2011.

Because the Philippines has also been infected with Hallyu fever, a category for "favorite K-POP video" has also been included. The nominees are as follows:

- BONAMANA/Super Junior
- Go Away/2NE1
- Run Devil Run/SNSD
- Bingeul Bingeul/U-KISS
- Beautiful/ BEAST

The above artists are all signed under Universal Records Philippines, and their releases thus far have all ranked #1 in terms of record sales, boasting a large fan base in the country.

Fans can vote for their favorite artists via text or online at MYX's official website, www.myxph.com. Voting is open to all as long as the necessary information is filled out.

Kevin from U-Kiss wants to receive Valentine’s chocolate from Dara

Kevin recently confessed who he wants to receive chocolate from on Valentine’s Day.

During the press conference of ‘Star Date’ Kevin revealed that he admires Dara and he wishes to receive some chocolate from her.

He was later asked about which female idol he would like to give candies during White Day. And he said that since he would pick Dara since he wants to receive chocolate from her.

‘Star Date’ is a program where fans will be able to date their idols and is also an opportunity for the members of U-Kiss to know more about them.

Kevin also revealed his ideal type and mentioned that she should have a light nature and be someone who smiles a lot. She also has to understand and accept him.

Kevin and Eli will travel to Hong Kong to record the show.

A famous composer, 'Rado' who has worked with Beast MBLAQ, had presented a logo song gift prior to MBC Game’s 10th Anniversary.

It was said that Kim Hyungjun (SS501, Game team's leader) and 'Rado' are close, and Hyungjun has requested for the song. Both of them worked together to write the lyrics and composed the song. Among the hit tracks that he has worked on were Beast's 'Breathe' and MBLAQ's 'STAY'. He is currently working on Kim Hyungjun’s solo album.

Vote U-Kiss for the 'MTV x Daum Music Fest'



The ‘MTV x Daum Music Fest’, which will be broadcasted live in 9 different countries, is drawing nearer and nearer! Recently it has been revealed that the netizens are the ones to decide which artist will be performing at the festival by voting online on MTV Korea and Daum's homepages.

"Having the performance line-up be directly decided by the netizens, along with the fact that our representative Hallyu singers will be introduced through broadcast in other countries, we believe this will be a meaningful concert. MTV Korea will continue to take the lead role in exposing our culture and Hallyu music to the world with these colorful music festivals", Kim Chang Woo, the MTV Korea production director, said.

Currently MTV Korea and Daum Communication are holding a poll on their websites until 8th February in which netizens have the chance to pick their favourite artists for the festival line-up.
