Gyeongju, Nodong-dong’taki Eski Silla mezarlari (M.Ö 57-M.S. 935) Bonghwangdae (Anka Kusu Tepesi), Singnichong Mezari ve Geumnyeongchong (Altin Yüzük Mezari)’ni kapsar.

The tombs of old Silla (57 B.C.-A.D. 935) in Nodong-dong, Gyeongju, include Bonghwangdae, meaning Phoenix Hill, Singnichong Tomb, and Geumnyeongchong, meaning Gold Ring Tomb.
Bonghwangdae is the second largest mounds, following Hwangnamdaechong Tomb. This mound of the tumulus, 22m high and 83m in diameter, is yet to be excavated.
Singnichong Tomb, 6.5m high and 30m in diameters, is the north of Bonghwangdae Mound, and revealed as a wood-lined chamber tomb during the excavation in 1924. Inside of it yielded gold earrings, silver belts, silver bracelets, horse gear, the lacquered vessel and etc. The most precious relic is a pair of gold and bronze compound shoes, once called the sikri. With their unique style, the name of the tomb, Sikrichong, is derived from them.
Geumnyeongchong Tomb, located in the south of Bonghwangdae Mound, was also excavated in 1924. This wood-lined chamber tomb, 4-5m high and 18-20m in diameter, produced a gold crown, gold earrings, the gold belt and bracelet, a pair of bronze shoes, an iron cooking pot, lacquered vessels, glass vessels, earthenware and so many more relics. The ship-shaped and riding-shaped earthen vessels are unique.
The tomb is supposed to be that of a prince of Silla with the evidence of relatively small grave size and accessories, and trace of the sacrificial burial.
Singnichong Tomb and Geumnyeongchong Tomb are similar in their scale and structure, and both seem to have close relation to Bonghwangdae Mound.
