Ünlü Joseon Konfüçyüsçü Bilgin Toegye Yi Hwang'in doğum evi, bu eski evde genişliği beş kan (eski bina alanı ölçü birimi iki sütun arasındaki boşluğa tekabül eden) uzanan görkemli bir kapıya bakar. Ana mahallede ev tamamen kare şeklinde bir orta avlu etrafındadır. Ana yönde
sağda "Hansujeong" adında bir köşk var. Atalarının türbe arkasında saklanmış olduğu sanılır. Ana bölümlerde, girişe yakın olan bina usta başının odasıdır, iç kesimdeki benzer yapı olan harem dairesi ise daha gerideki arka tarafta bulunur.

Toegye House

The birth home of the famous Joseon Confucian scholar Toegye Yi Hwang, this ancient house is fronted by a stately gate, extending five kan (ancient building area measurement unit corresponding to the space between two columns) in width. The house in the main quarters is distributed around a square middle yard in a manner to completely enclose it. To the right from the main quarters is a pavilion, named “Hansujeong,” and an ancestral shrine is tucked away behind it. In the main quarters, the building located close to the entrance is the master’s suite, and the inner house, corresponding to the women’s quarters, sits further back at the rear end.
