The title, To Go Farther, Walk Together, comes from an old African saying that goes, "To go faster, walk alone; but to go farther, walk together." A director of a foreign finance company, a person who was nominated several times to head the company but failed each time, complained to the U.S. headquarters, based on his performance and capacity. The reply from the headquarters, however, read, "We acknowledge your outstanding ability. You lack a few things, however, that are necessary in becoming a leader.
