Three Jewels Temple (삼보사)

Kore'nin Üç Mücevher Tapinaklari, her biri Budizm'in Üç Mücevheri'nden birini temsil eden ve tamami Güney Kore'de bulunan Kore'deki belli basli üç Budist tapinagidir.

Güney Gyeongsang Eyalei'ndeki Tongdosa, Buda'yi temsil etmekte; yine Güney Gyeongsang Eyaleti'ndeki Haeinsa dharma ya da Budist ögretilerini temsil etmekte ve Güney Jeolla Eyaleti'ndeki Songgwangsa sangha ya da Budist toplumunu temsil etmektedir.

Birçok Budist tapinagindaki en yüksek, en önemli ve siklikla en büyük yapi daeungjeon tarihi Buda ve diger önemli kisiliklerin heykellerinin bulundugu bas salondur. Ancak, Üç Mücevher Tapinaklari'nda en önemli yapilar her bir tapinagin kendine özgü mücevherini vurgulayanlardir. Bu yüzden, Tongdosa'daki ana salon, dinine bagli bir arzunun Buda'nin kutsal emanetlerini içerdigi bir stupanin (yigin) üzerine yayilmistir; Haeinsa, Tripitaka Koreana'nin düzenlendigi iki büyük yapiya sahiptir ve Songgwagsa kendi manastirinda yasayan topluluga (tapinagin yetistirdigi sayisiz Seon-Zen- ustasi da dahil olmak üzere) tahsis edilmis birkaç önemli binaya sahiptir.

The Three Jewel Temples of Korea are the three principal Buddhist temples in Korea, each representing one of the Three Jewels of Buddhism, and all located in South Korea.

Tongdosa in South Gyeongsang Province represents the Buddha; Haeinsa, also in South Gyeongsang Province, represents the dharma or Buddhist teachings; and Songgwangsa in South Jeolla Province represents the sangha or Buddhist community.

In most Korean Buddhist temples, the highest, most important, and often largest building is the daeungjeon--the central hall containing statues of the historical Buddha and other important figures. In the Three Jewel Temples, however, the most important buildings are ones that emphasize each temple's particular jewel. Thus, the main hall in Tongdosa opens out onto a stupa which the faithful claim contains relics of the Buddha; Haeinsa has two large buildings holding the Tripitaka Koreana; and Songgwangsa has several prominent buildings dedicated to its monastic community (including the numerous Seon (Zen) masters the temple has produced).
