İmparatorların ve krallarılan doğduğu Doğu Denizi’nde bir kaya vardır.

Söylenenlere göre, ölen atalarını kayanın üstünde yakanların neslinden krallar ve imparatorlar doğar. Kayayı keşfeden kişi Yi Hanedanlığı’nın ilk kralı LeeSengGye büyükbabadır. Mezarlığı buldu ancak kayaya ulaşma imkanı yoktu. Oraya ulaşmanın yolunu bulmak ve atalarının kemiklerini orada yakmak zorundaydı. Ancak kaya kullanılabilecek durumda değildi. Bir gün, saçları ve bedebni kırmızı sarı NuruHachi adında bir adamla karşılaştı.

NuruHachi, sarı benizli adam manasına gelir. NuruHachi yüzmede ve dalmada iyiydi. Dört saat su altında kalabilirdi. The site where Emperors and kings were to be born There is a rock way over the East sea.

The rock is said to produce Emperors and kings from the family who bury their ancestors on the rock. The one who discovered the rock was the great grandfather of LeeSengGye, the first king of the Yi Dynasty. He discovered the grave site, but there was no reaching the rock. He had to find a way to reach the rock and bury his ancestors' bones there, otherwise the rock was of no use. One day he ran into a young man named NuruHachi, whose hair and body was all red and yellow.

NuruHachi means a man with yellowish skin. NuruHachi was good at swiming and diving. He could stay under water for hours. Yi told him about the rock way over the sea, and asked him if he would swim there and prepare burial sites for him. NuruHachi willingly accepted his proposal on the condition that he get a grave site of his own. So they brought the bones of their respective ancestors to the beach, where NuruHachi was to swim and fight his way to the rock to bury the bones.

Before he left for the rock, Yi told him that the right side of the rock would produce a king and the left side rock an Emperor, which was in fact the other way around. He was afraid that NuruHachi would try to steal the grave site which would produce an Emperor. When he arrived on the rock, however, NuruHachi figured that he got the burial site on the rock thanks for Yi and so he did as he was told. Bury Yi's bones on the left, and his bones on the right. After all he was a man of integrity. When he came back to shore, Yi asked about it, and NuruHachi told him what he did. Yi was so disappointed that he sighed, but there was nothing he could do about it. He thought it was Heaven's wish and disappeared. He fell for his own trick, and who else did he have to blame but himself?

We should all learn a lesson from this story. NuruHachi was a man of integrity, who tried to keep his words, and as a result one of his descendants became The Emperor of China, whereas Yi was a tricky person who distrusted people and so his descendants ended becoming the king in spite of the rock he discovered.
