Masan Filarmoni Orkestrası 1984 yılında kurulmuştur. 2009 itibariyle 25 yaşındaki orkestranın çalışmaları, klasik müzik severler ve medya tarafından takdir edilmektedir.
750 klasik müzik konserleri, uluslararası gösterileri olmuştur.
Orkestra bir çok tanınmış müzisyenlerle çalışmış ve sanatsal anlamda yasam kalitesini arttırmıştır. 2007 yılında orkestra, Ulusal Orkestra Festivali'ne katılmış ve kendi müzik yeteneklerini kanıtlamıştır.
Özellikle 2008 yılında orkestra, bir dizi konser için Tenjin, Çin'i ziyaret etti ve medyadan coşkulu övgüler aldı. Konser Çin ve Kore'nin diplomatik ilişki ve Pekin Olimpiyatları için kurulusunun 16. yıldönümü dolayısıyla yapıldı.

Sanat Yönetmeni ve Şef
Şef, Jin-Hyoun Baek, Kore'nin önde gelen müzisyenlerinden olup Masan Filarmoni Orkestrası sanat yönetmeni ve şefidir. 2006 yılından beri Şilla Üniversitesi'nde eğitim vermektedir.
Müzik kariyerinde bir çok ödülleri vardır.

The Masan Philharmonic Orchestra and City Chorale
The Masan Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in 1984 in order to stimulate the passions of the people and to contribute to local cultural development by propagating high culture and art. As of 2009, the 25-year-old Orchestra has provided about 750 classical music concerts including regular performances, visiting performances, international performances, etc. In 2009 in particular, the Orchestra has become greatly acclaimed by classic music lovers and media through the planning of an opera concert, which was the first effort made by a city orchestra in Korea.
The Orchestra worked together with many prominent musicians from the around world including the U.S.A. Russia, Germany, Japan, China, and Europe to provide world-level concerts with the goal of providing an emotionally purifying experience to residents of Masan, and of improving life quality. In 2007, the Orchestra participated in the national orchestra festival and proved their musical capabilities. In 2008 in particular, the Orchestra visited Tenjin, China for a series of concerts and received enthusiastic praise from the media. The concert was held to mark the 16th anniversary of the establishment of China's and Korea's diplomatic relationship and to wish success for the Beijing Olympics.
Artistic Director and Chief
Conductor, Jin-Hyoun Baek, DMA, is internationally recognized as one of Korea's leading musicians; a sought-after conductor and clinician on the international orchestral scene with engagements taking him to all corners of the world.
He currently resides as Artistic Director of Masan Philharmonic Orchestra, founder and conductor of Festival Orchestra and Busan Wind Orchestra; he is professor of music at Silla University where he has educated young musicians since 2006.
