The Friendly Brothers / Dost Kardeşler
Bir zamanlar çok iyi anlaşan iki kardeş varmış. Büyük kardeş Sangjungri’de, küçük kardeş Origol’da yaşarmış. Ailelerinden miras kalan çiftlikte çalışırlarmış. Yıllardan birinde, hasat bereketli geçmiş. Sıra ürünleri paylaşmaya gelmiş. Kimin daha çok pay alacağı konusunda bir türlü anlaşamamışlar. Ama sebebi aç gözlülük değilmiş. İki kardeş de kendi payından daha fazlasını kardeşine vermek istiyormuş. Erkek kardeşin ısrarının sebebi, küçük kardeşinin yeni evli olmasıymış. Küçük kardeşin ısrarının sebebi ise, ebeveynlerinin yıllık anma törenlerini düzenleyen kişinin hep abisi olmasıymış.
Nihayet, ürünleri pay etmeye karar vermişler. Ancak gece karanlığında her ikisi de kendi paylarını Chigve’leriyle (bir çeşit el arabası) diğerinin ambarına taşımış. Böylece her ikisinin ambarında aynı miktarda ürün kalıyormuş. İki kardeşin de kafası karışmış, ta ki her ikisi de gecenin birinde birbirini ellerindeki chigve ile görene dek…

The Friendly Brothers
Once there lived two brothers who got along very well. The older one lived in Sangjungri, and the younger one in Origol. They worked together on a farm which their parents left for them. One year, they had a rich harvest, and it was time to divide the crops between them. They could not reach agreement on who should have more crops, not because they were greedy , but because they insisted the other one should have more. The older brother insisted the younger brother have more because the latter just started his family, and the younger brother insisted the older one should have more because he was the one who kept their ancestors' anniversary.
Eventually, they agreed to divide the crops evenly, but during the night they carried part of the crops on their Chigye (A-frame carrier) to each other's house without the other's knowing. So their crops remained the same every day to the brothers' bewilderment until one night they ran into each other with the crops on their chigye and finally realized what happened.
