Seoul Fringe Festival (SFF) 2009



12. sı yapılacak olan Seoul Fringe Festivali’ne (SFF) 300 sanatçı ve grup katılacak. Açık bir platformda, çesitli programlarla bağımsız, yaratıcı sanatsal çalışmalara yer verilecek.

Eylül'de, Doosan Sanat Merkezi işbirliğiyle Fringe, gelecek nesil sanatçılarınınn keşfi için bir program sunacak. "Temporary(Geçici)" temasi geregince, SFF’den seçilen yarışmacı “Fringe & Doosan Müthiş Çocuğu Arıyor – Büyük Çocuk Projesi”ne katılıp tekrar sahneye çıkma şansını elde edecek.

'SPARK' adlı sanatçı çalıştığı yaratıcılığı gelistirme metotlarını paylaşacak ve SFF’de sahne alacak. Ülke dışından, Tayvan’dan sanatçılar da “Salla & Paylas” temasıyla “Güneş Daha Utangaç” dans tiyatro gösterisini sunacak.

Yaratıcı çalışmalar sadece burada değil tüm yaşamda vardır. Fringe’de Güney Kore’deki yaşam hakkında bazı deneyimler yaşayabilirsin. Ayrıca çesitli sanatsal faaliyetlerde de bulunabilirsin.

Seoul Fringe Festivali’nde bağımsız sanatçılar yer alacak. Bireysel sanatçılar veya gruplar serbestçe drama yapabilir, dans edebilir, taklit yapabilir. Hem izleyiciler için hem de sanatçılar için seçme özgürlüğü olan bir festival olacak. Performanslar; küçük tiyatrolar, kulüpler, galeriler, caddeler ve Hongik Üniversitesi’nin yanındaki metro istasyonu gibi önceden belirlenmiş bazı yerlerde yapılacak.

The 12-year-old Seoul Fringe Festival(SFF), with a entry of around 300 artists and groups,
is ready to warm up the its whole venue. As a open platform to support freely creation of
art works and a wealthy arts sphere, the festival will present a diversity of programs
to activate creation of independent arts.

In September, as a collaboration with Doosan Art Centre, Fringe presents a sponsoring
program to discover next generation artists. Under the theme "Temporary", the chosen
entry of SFF will get the chance to present it once again in <Fringe & Doosan looking for
enfant terrible - Project Big Boy>

'SPARK', an artists workship to share methods and strengthen creative power, has been
under way since June and will perform a showcase at SFF. The overseas exchange
workshop "Shake & Share", run by Taiwanese Sun-Shier Dance Theater will also present
a experiment to mix up text, image and sound, based on physical motions.

Creative works are worthy not only on stage but also in our lifes. At Fringe, you can meet
several practices about the life of 20's in South Korea, and as a result of a workshop of
band Noridan and the 20's, a special Opening Parade will be presented.

You can also meet several works which concerns arts itself. Like the program "Good
Will Indie, Good Will Fringe", they try to examine the identification and present of indie
and Fringe.

The Seoul Fringe Festival will provide a showcase of independent artists. Individual artists or groups can freely perform drama, dance, mime, music and arts in the festival which will allow both the performers and the audience to enjoy the freedom of expression and selection. Performances will take place in various venues like small theaters, live clubs, galleries, streets and the subway station near Hongik University in western Seoul.
