Alanı 571.000㎡ olan Geumjin Bölgesi’nde bulunan harika bir yer. Okgye-myeon 10 Nisan 1982 yılında gezi alanı olarak tayin edildi. Dümdüz kum, temiz, geniş, su derinliği 7–10 metre arasında değişen, 30–40 yaslarında çam ağaçları olan ayrıca su sıcaklığı normal olan bir tatil yeri.
Ulaşım ise hiç zor değil. 7 km sonrasında demiryolu, 12 km sonrasında karayolu bulunmakta.
Çevresinde Okgye Mağarası bulunmakta ancak mağara geziye halen açılmamıştır. Gangpo Nehri'nde balıklarla harika vakit geçirebilirsiniz. Tatlı su balıklarını hem görebilir hem de tadını çıkarabilirsiniz.
Ayrıca, Geumjin Sahili’nde taze çiğ balık ve istiridye gibi kıyı balıkçılığında balıklar da satılıyor.

It is located in 571,000㎡ (173,000 pyeong) area of San 105 Geumjin-ri Okgye-myeon and was designated as a sightseeing place in April 10, 1982. The white sands are clean and wide, and the water depth is 7 to 10m high. The pine forest from is 30 to 40 years old. As the water is relatively warm due to the stream coming from Mt. Seokbyeon in the neighborhood, it is a nice vacation place.
Geographically, it is located on the shore 22km away to the south along Donghae Express Highway and 12km away to the north from Donghae. The access roads to approach the area are Donghae Express Highway, national road 7, and Yeongdong railway. All of them are located within 1km west from the resort so that it is very easy to access.
Okgye Cave (not opened yet) that is a limestone cave is a scenic spot around here and located 12km west from here. You can enjoy freshwater fishing in the Gangpo River. It is linked to Mangsang Beach 4km south from here and Deungmyeong Beach in Gangdong-myeon so that you can have an efficient summer vacation.
Moreover, the shore of Geumjin-ri near here sells the coastal fisheries such as fresh raw fish and clams. Many gourmets are in a line to taste them.
In Geumjin-ri there are black soil and a port so that it was called Meokjin or Heukjin. The shape of the back hill takesnames Chinese character ‘Geum’ so that is was called Geumjin. The character ‘Geum’ was phonetically borrowed from the meaning of ‘black’. It was merged with Geonnam-ri in 1916.
