Korean National Police Agency /KNPA /Kore Ulusal Polis Teşkilatı

Kore Ulusal Polis Teşkilatı veya KNPA sadece Güney Kore’deki bir polis teşkilatıdır ve Devlet İdaresi Bakanlığı ve İçişleri bakanlıklarının altında çalışır. Ulusal Polis İdaresi gibi tüm ülke çapında polislik hizmeti sunar.Bu Fransa dahil birçok ülkede farklı, burada ulusal polis ve jandarma bölünmüştür, ve Amerika Birleşik Devletleri gibi ulusal katmanlı sisteme sahip ülkeler arasındadır, eyalet/bölge ve/ yerel kanunu uygular,örgütler.

KNPA Seul genel merkezinden Seul Ana Polis Merkezi dahil olarak 14 bölgesel polis teşkilatına bölünmüştür. Bölgesel polis teşkilatları ulusal polislerden bağımsız debilleridir.2004 yılında 96,000 polis memuru vardı.

Yapılan istatistiklere göre;

Ölümlerin ortalama sayısı 22 ve son 5 yıl için yaralanma sayısı 1.197 (2003~2007).
Ölümlerin ana nedenleri %5.5 şüpheli saldırılar %69.9 trafik kazaları ,%26.8 ‘in üzerinde çalışılıyor ve yaralanmaların baslıca nedenleri %43.1 güvenlik kazaları, %25.5 trafik kazaları %23.3 şüpheli saldırılardır 2007 yılında ölümlerin sayısı 16, yaralanmalar sayısı ise 1.413 oldu. Ölümleri azalmış, ancak yaralanan sayısı yoğun şekilde artmaktadır...

The Korean National Police Agency , or KNPA, is the only police organization in South Korea and is run under the Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs. As a national police force it provides all policing services throughout the country. This differs from the situation in many countries including France, where policing is split between the National Police and Gendarmerie, and between countries such as the United States which have a layered system of National, State/Regional and/or local Law Enforcement organizations

The NPA is headquartered in Seoul and is divided into 14 local police agencies, including the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. Local police agencies are not independent of the national police. There were 96,000 police officers as of 2004.

The average number of deaths is 22 and injuries are 1,197 for the recent 5 years (2003~2007).
the main causes of injuries are safety accidents 43.1%, traffic accidents 25.5%, and suspect attacks 23.3%.
The number of deaths in 2007 is 16 and injuries are 1,413. Deaths have decreased, but injuries are highly increasing.
