Ankete katılan 323 Seoul erkek ofis işçilerinden %88'i bir biçimde ya da başka ev işlerinde yardimcı oluyor. İlk olarak ev işlerinde yemek yapmak (%24), alışveriş yapmak (%11) sonra çamaşırhane (%10) izledi. %1'den bile az sayıda küçük bir topluluk ev hanımları toplantılarına gidiyor. Öte yandan, ev işlerinde en nefret edilen çöp ayıran olmak (%28) oldu. Sonraki ise ev tamiratı (%13), bulaşık (%11), çocuk bakıcılığı (%7), ve çocuk çalıştırmaya yardımcı olmak izledi.

In Korea, who does housework such as cleaning, cooking and laundry, men or women? It may sound ridiculous to ask such a question in these modern times. However, it was only 10 years ago in Korea that you could hardly see a Korean man who did housework.
Korean Men Are Changing
As the number of working housewives has increased in recent times, you can easily see that husbands help their wives with the housework. Not only that, you can even find some who choose to be full-time house husbands when their wives work in the office.
Korean man:
- Help only on weekends or in their spare time - 40%
- Hardly help at all - 12%
- Actively share the work - 30%
- Divide the work equally - 18%
What is the housework men hate most?
It’s seperating garbage. According to survey of 323 male office worker in Seoul, 88% of the respondents help with housework in one way or another. 30% say they actively share the work, 18% divide the work equally, 40% help only on weekends or in their spare time, and only 12% say they hardly help at all.
Cooking (24%) ranks first among the housework they can do well, followed by shopping (11%) then laundry (10%). A small number, 1% even go community meetings, of which most participants are housewives. On the other hand, the most hated housework is reported to be separating garbage(28%). Next is household repairs (13%), followed by dishwashing (11%), childcare (7%), and helping children’s study. The last finding is 55% of men estimate their spouses’ ability to make living to be as good or better than their own.
