KAIST'in Kore'deki Yeri
KAIST ulusun ihtiyacı olan bilim ve teknolojiyi seçkin insanların imkanlarıyla teşvik etmek ve bilimsel araştırmalara odaklanmış bir üniversite modeli olarak 1971 yılında kurulmuştur.

Şu anda, KAIST dünya çapında bilim zümresinin başarılı bir şekilde saygın üyesi haline gelmiştir.

Gelecekte, KAIST en iyi eğitimi veren ve üniversitenin ilk icadıylar sadece Kore'de değil tüm dünyada akademik alanda gıpta edilecek konuma geliyor, en iyi liderleri keşfettiği bir üniversite olması gerekmektedir.

Kuruluş Geçmişi
* KAIST ekonomik kalkınma planının bir parçası olarak sanayileşmesini desteklemek için gelişme gösterdi. Bilim ve teknolojide ulusun ihtiyaç duyduğu imkanları seçkin inlanlardan kabul etti.
* Beyin göçünü önlemek için yeteneklerin üretiminin ihtiyaçları karşılamak üzere sistematik lisans üstü eğitime ihtiyaç vardı
* Ülkenin ilk bilim ve teknoloji alanında lisans üstü araştırmaya odaklanarak başladı.

Kuruluş Amacı
* Eğitmek ve gelecekte seçkin bilim insanlarına teşvik için temel teoriler ve kabiliyet pratik uygulamalarıyla donatılmıştır.
* Ülkenin stratejisi teknolojik gelişmelere hem uzun hem kısa vadede temeli uygulamak ve araştırmalara pratik sağlamak.
* Araştırma kurumları ve endüstrilerin çeşitli havuzlarla araştırma iş birliklerini teymin etmek.

Founding Philosophy

KAIST within Korea
KAIST was established in 1971 to model a research focused university and to foster elite human resources in science and technology needed by the nation.

KAIST within the World
Currently, KAIST has successfully become a well-respected member of the worldwide science community.

The World within KAIST
In the future, KAIST must become a university in which the world lays its eye upon, by discovering the best leaders, offering the best education, and becoming the envy of the academic world, not only within Korea but all over the world through the university’s first invention.

Founding Background
* In recognition of the nations need for elite human resources in science and technology, KAIST was developed to support industrialization as part of the economic development plan.
* To satisfy the need of producing talents, a systematic graduate school of science and engineering was needed, to prevent international leakage of intellectual talent.
* Launched as the nation’s first science and technology graduate school focused on research.

Founding Purpose
* Educate and foster elite scientists for the future, equipped with basic theories and capability for practical applications.
* Carry out both long and short term basic and applied research that enables the nation’s strategic technological advancements.
* Provide research collaborations with a diverse pool of research institutions and industries.
