Uzun uzun yillar önce Kong-gy ve Pot-gy adinda iki kizkardesivarmis. Bu kizlarin annesi ölmüs ve babasi tekrar evlenmis. Üvey annesi ve Pot-gy, güzel oldugu için Kong-gy’i sevmezlermis.
Pot-gy oldukça çirkin be bencil bir kizmis. Üvey annesiyle birlikte evdeki tüm isleri Kong_gy’e yaptirirmislar ama kong-gy bu durumdan hiç te sikayetçi degilmis.
Bir gün zengin genç bir adam esini bulabilmek için bir balo düzenlemis. Ülkedeki tüm genç kizlar bu partiye davetliymis ama Kong-gy onun tüm ev islerini yapmasi için baloya gitmesine izin vermemis.
Kong-gy ev islerini yapiyorken önünde bir kurbaga belirmis. Kurbaga onun yerine tüm isleri yapmis ve üvey annesinin emirlerine ragman partiye katilabilmis.
Genç adam onu görür görmez ona asik olmus. Onu tanimaya çalisirken kiz üvey annesi eve gelmeden gitmek zorunda kalmis.
Baloyu aceleyle terkederken ayakkabisinin birini düsürmüs. Genç adam bu ayakkabinin kime ait oldugunu arastirmis ve sonunda Kong-gy’a ait odugunu ögrenmis. Çok güzedl bir törenle evlenip mutlu mesut yasamislar.

A long, long time ago, there were two sisters. The older sister's name was Kong-gy and the younger sister's name was Pot-gy. Kong-gy had a stepmother. The stepmother and Pot-gy disliked Kong-gy because she was so beautiful and kind; she was a lovely person.
Pot-gy was very ugly; she was also a greedy and selfish person. The stepmother and Pot-gy always made Kong-gy do house chores, but she never complained about that.
One day, a rich, young man held a party to look for a girl to be his bride. All of the young girls were invited to the party, but Kong-gy couldn't go because the stepmother ordered her to stay home and do house chores and told her not to go there.
While Kong-gy was doing the house chores, a frog appeared in front of her. The frog did all the house chores for her, so despite the stepmother's orders, she attended the party.
As soon as the young man saw her, he fell in love with her. He wanted to know more about her, but she left the party because she had to get back home before her stepmother came back home.
Leaving the party hurriedly, she lost her rubber shoe. When it came off and she lost it, they young man picked it up. He was able to find the beautiful Kong-gy because of her rubber shoe. They got married and lived happily ever after.
