Kim Shi Sup ( Poet )

Kim Shi Sup 1435-1493 yılları arasında yaşamış olan Koreli erkek bir şairdir.
O iyi bir bilgin ve edebiyat ustasıydı. Çok yetenekliydi. Çok sayıda şiir ve nesir eserler yazdı. O krala çok sadıktı. Öldüğünde devlet onun 30'a yakın çalışmasını bulmak ve gün ışığına çıkarmak için çok uğraştı.

Do not sweep the fallen leaves,
For they are pleasant to hear on clear nights
In the wind, they rustle, as if sighing;
In the moonlight, their shadows flutter.
They knock on the window to wake a traveler;
Covering stairs, they hide moss.
Sad, the sight of them getting wet in the rain;
Let them wither away deep in the mountains.

Kim Shi Sup (1435-1493) was a Taoist Korean poet. He was a learned man well, versed in literature. He was very talented and produced many poetic and prose works.

He was very loyal to the king and when he died there was a government effort to find and preserve all of his works which numbers around 30 volumes. Below is an example of his poetry:

Do not sweep the fallen leaves,
For they are pleasant to hear on clear nights
In the wind, they rustle, as if sighing;
