"Namhan sanseong" (South Han Mountain Fortress in Gyeonggi-do) is his latest work, and has sold almost 1 million copies in South Korea[citation needed]. It is the story of a Joseon Dynasty king and his envoys who escaped from the palace during the Manchu invasion in the early 17th century.
