Fırsatlar dolu bir dünyada tek bir alana takılmak bir utançtır. İşte bu FT Island grubu üyelerinin müzikal geçmişlerini ve oyunculuğa adım atışlarını açıklayan sebep de aynı zamanda.

Choi Jong Hoon – You Are My Pet

Song Seung Hyun – Jack the Ripper

Song Seung Hyun televizyon ya da sinema ekranında olmak yerine, müzikal sahnesinde oyuncu olmayı tercih etti. Jack The Ripper müzikalinde hem Kore hem Japonya'da Daniel rolünü canlandırarak başladı ve en genç Daniel rolünü oynayan kişi oldu.

Bir çaylak olmasına rağmen, izleyici etkilemeyi başardı ve sevgi dolu bir karşılık aldı ve her iki ülkedeki mükemmel performansı için övgü topluyor.



Choi Min Hwan – The Way Home

Baterist maknae Choi Min Hwan da aktörlük dünyasına daldı. 120 bölümlük The Way Home dizisinde Han ailesinin en küçük üyesini canlandırıyor.

Herkes Le Hong Gi'nin You Are Beatiful'daki muhteşem rolü Jeremy'yi biliyor ama biz şimdi onun başka bir rolü Passionate Goodbye'a odaklanacağız.

Lee Jae Jin – High School Musical

Lee Jae Jin televizyonda oyunculuğu denedi, bu yüzden bu kez de müzikal sahnesinde meydan okumaya karar verdi. High School Musical'da uzun, yakışıklı ve esmer Troy rolünü canlandırıyor.

Lee Jae Jin yetenekli bir kastla birlikte çalışıyor. Sınıf arkadaşları içinde AOA Cho Ah yer alıyor. Lee Jae Jin güzel bir şov sunuyor, seyirci onun şarkı söylediği kısımlarda fazlasıyla heyecanlanıyor.

Choi Jong Hoon – You Are My Pet

Although he was only a rookie, Song Seung Hyun managed to impress the audience, receiving much love and praise for his excellent performances in both countries.



Choi Min Hwan – The Way Home

The maknae drummer dove deep into the acting world, appearing in KBS’ The Road Home, a 120-episode daily drama, where he played the youngest of the Han family.

Before the drama began its run, Choi Min Hwan said at the press conference that he was quite nervous since it was a stage that was not for music. But luckily with his FT Island hyungs by his side to guide him along the way, Choi Min Hwan managed to stick through all 120 episodes.



Lee Hong Gi – Passionate Goodbye

Everyone knows Lee Hong Gi was spectacular as Jeremy in You’re Beautiful, so we would like to turn the focus on Lee Hong Gi’s other project, Passionate Goodbye.

As someone who’s been acting since he was little, Lee Hong Gi didn’t disappoint in this movie as he played a rebellious singer with a past, who is ordered by the court to work at a hospice. The plot is pretty obvious, but Lee Hong Gi still managed to make his audience cry (us included).



Lee Jae Jin – High School Musical

He’s tried his hand at acting on TV, so Lee Jae Jin decided to challenge himself to the music stage for High School Musical, where he played the dreamy tall, dark, and handsome Troy.

Working with a talented cast, including his labelmate, Cho Ah from AOA, Lee Jae Jin ran a good show, keeping the audience excited and sometimes even singing along.

Üç üye de birlikte olduğunda JYJ’nin durdurulamaz olduğunu hepimiz biliyoruz ama Kim Junsu, Kim Jae Joong ve Park Yoo Chun solo kariyerleriyle de K-Pop’ı kendi başlarına zapt edebildiklerini kanıtladılar.



Kim Junsu, ‘Incredible’ patikasında devam ederken; C-JeS Entertainment, JYJ’den Kim Jaejoong’un da bu ayın sonunda yeni bir albümle geri dönüyor olduğunu duyurdu.

Jaejoong’un geri dönüşü için beklerken JYJ üyelerinin renkli solo kariyerlerine geri dönelim. Bizimle birlikte geri sarın ve aşağıdaki solo şarkılardan kiminkinin favoriniz olduğunu bilmemize izin verin!

XIA’nın ‘Tarantallegra’sı

XIA olarak bilinen Kim Junsu, Kore’deki solo çıkışını resmi olarak 2012 yılında Tarantallegra ile yaptı ve ülkedeki hayranlar JYJ’ye susamışken Kim Junsu büyük darbe getirdi.

Konsepten getirdiklerine kadar Kim Junsu hayranlarının dikkatlarini etkileyici bir biçimde yakalayarak Tarantallegra ile K-Pop sahnesini salladı.

Albümün yayınlanması üzerine; albüm, Gaon listesi tarihinde solo sanatçıdan çıkma en çok satan albüm unvanını aldı.

XIA’nın ‘Uncommited’ı

Asya zaten yeterli değilmiş gibi Kim Junsu R&B tarzında İngilizce single’ı Uncommitted’ı Ağustos 2012’de çıkartarak Amerika’da da göründü.

Kim Junsu daha sonra şarkıyla daha ileri giderek Kuzey Amerika turunda New York, Los Angeles, Mexico ve daha fazlasını durak olarak belirledi. (Buralarda da konserler verdiği söyleniyor.)



XIA’nın ‘Incredible’ı

Tam gaz devam ederken, Kim Junsu ikinci solo albümü Incredible ile temmuzda geri döndü.

Başlık şarkısı, yüksek tempolu melodisi ve palmiye ağaçlarıyla çevrili havuz partisi temalı müzik videosuyla yıldızın başka bir yanını gösteriyor.



Kim Jae Joong’un ‘Mine’ı

Kim Jae Joong, ocakta yayınlanmış ilk solo mini albümü ‘I’da yer alan endişe ve korku dolu solo parçası Mine ile rocktan ilham aldığı rotaya girdi.

Albüm sadece Kore’de fırtına gibi esmedi; Tayvan ve Japonya’daki listelerde de sıcaklığı artırarak Kim Jae Joong’un solo bir yıldız olarak kahramanlığını kanıtladı.



Park Yoo Chun’un ‘The Empty Space for You’su

Hayranların, hala Park Yoo Chun’un solo çıkışını bekliyor olmasına rağmen JYJ üyesi Miss Ripley OST’sinde yer alan ballad şarkı ‘The Empty Space for You’ ile hayranların ağzına bal çaldı.

Sayısız başarılı ve popüler dramada oyunculuk kalitesini göstermiş olan Park Yoo Chun, bu şarkı ile dinleyicilerin üstünde, farklı bir yolla güçlü bir etki bıraktı.

We know JYJ is unstoppable when all three members are together, but Kim Junsu, Kim Jae Joong and Park Yoo Chun have proved they can conquer K-Pop on their own as well with their solo careers.



As Kim Junsu continues on his Incredible trail, C-JeS Entertainment also announced that JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong would be returning with a new album at the end of this month.

XIA’s ‘Tarantallegra’

Kim Junsu, aka XIA, made his official solo debut in Korea with Tarantallegra in 2012, and as much as fans in the country were thirsting for JYJ, Kim Junsu delivered a knockout.

From the concept to the delivery, Kim Junsu crashed onto the K-Pop scene with Tarantallegra, effectively grabbing the attention of fans.

Upon the album’s release, it became the highest selling album from a solo artist in Gaon chart history.

XIA’s ‘Uncommitted’

As if Asia wasn’t enough, Kim Junsu set his sights stateside, releasing an R&B style English single Uncommitted later that year in August 2012.

Kim Junsu then hit the road with the song, making stops in New York, Los Angeles, Mexico and more on his North American tour.


XIA’s ‘Incredible’

Still going strong, Kim Junsu returned with his second solo album Incredible in July.

The title song showed off another side to the star with its upbeat melody and palm tree-filled pool party-themed music video.



Kim Jae Joong’s ‘Mine’

Kim Jae Joong went the rock-inspired route with the angst-filled solo track Mine, featured on his first solo mini album I, which was released in January.

Not only did the album take Korea by storm, it heat up charts in Taiwan and Japan as well, proving Kim Jae Joong’s prowess as a solo star.



Park Yoo Chun’s ‘The Empty Space For You’

Although fans are still waiting for Park Yoo Chun’s solo debut, the JYJ member gave fans a taste through ballad The Empty Space For You, featured on the Miss Ripley OST.

Park Yoo Chun, who has shown off his acting chops on numerous hit dramas, pulls at listeners’ heartstrings in a different way with the song.

2012 yılında, 48. Paeksang Sanat Ödülleri'nde Yoo Chun ve Park Yoo Hwan ödüle aday gösterildiğinde yine kırmızı halıda birlikte yürüdüler.

Kardeşiyle hayallerini birlikte yaşamayı uman Park Yoo Chun, "Farklı parçalar olsak bile, eğer gitme şansımız olursa Cannes kırmızı halı üzerinde birlikte oluruz. The JYJ members may be like brothers, but Park Yoo Chun has the added bonus of having his real-life brother Park Yoo Hwan by his side to stick life in the limelight out together.

The Park siblings are each other’s biggest supporters, from celebrating one another’s success to surviving a loss together, and we’re looking back on some of the pairs most precious moments.

Park Yoo Hwan also tweeted a few family photos back in 2011, writing “Busy schedule…I miss my family.”

Wise Words

“Before you can be an actor, you must be a person.”


As Park Yoo Hwan’s big brother and sunbae in the entertainment industry, the JYJ member and actor naturally offers his younger brother advice, and in an interview with MBN’s Live Today, Park Yoo Hwan shared the above words as the best advice Park Yoo Chun has given him.

“I don’t feel burdened at all. Rather, I’m always trying to be a dongseng hyung can be proud of.”


In the same interview, when asked how he felt about the tag “Park Yoo Chun’s younger brother,“ the above was Park Yoo Hwan’s response.

“Rather than do better than hyung, I want to show him that I’m doing well.”


When asked whether the two are competitive in an interview for Elle magazine, Park Yoo Hwan’s expressed his gratitude for his brother.

“Yoo Hwan, whom I love more than anything in the whole world. Let’s live an awesome life. I’m always thankful [to you], and I love you.”


Park Yoo Chun and Park Yoo Hwan publicly mourned the loss of their father in March 2012, and big brother Park Yoo Chun comforted his baby brother with the above tweet.

Living the Dream Together

Park Yoo Chun.already a well-decorated actor, and his brother Park Yoo Hwan, a fast-rising actor, are becoming a formidable pair in the acting world.



Park Yoo Chun and Park Yoo Hwan walked the red carpet together at the 2011 MBC Drama Awards, where Park Yoo Chun picked up an award for Miss Ripley.

In 2012, the Park siblings walked the red carpet together at the 48th Paeksang Arts Awards, where Park Yoo Chun and Park Yoo Hwan were both nominated for an award.

Hoping to continue to live the dream together with his younger brother, Park Yoo Chun said, “Even if it’s for different pieces, if we get a chance to go I hope we’ll get to stand on the red carpet of Cannes together. We went together for the Paeksang Arts Awards, and that felt great. I was so proud that we brothers were sitting at the same table. I hope we can take a lot of pictures at Cannes.”
