Jung Soo-Keun, 20 Subat 1977’de Güney Kore Seoul’de dogdu. Güney Kore Beyzbol Organizasyonu’nda Dosan Bears ve Lotte Giants’da oynamis emekli bir beyzbolcudur.

Profesyonel Kariyeri:

Jung, KBO’da art arda dört kez (1998-2001) sampiyonluk gördü. Kariyeri boyunca 1544 maçta, 866 runs, 0.280 batting averaj, 474 stolen bases yapti. O, 474 stolen bases ile Jeon Jun-Ho ve Lee Jong-Beom’un ardindan 3. sirada yer aldi.
Jung 2000 yilinda, Avustralya Sidney’de yapilan 2000 Beyzbol Yaz Olimpiyatlari turnuvasinda bronz madalya kazanan Güney Kore Milli Beyzbol takiminin bir parçasi oldu.

Yasal sorunlari:
Jung, Subat 2003’te Hawai Honolulu’daki Doosan Bears bahar egitim kampina katildigi dönemde bir Kore restoraninda iki erkekle çikan siddet olaylarindan dolayi tutuklandi.
26 Temmuz 2004 tarihinde Jung, Busan Haeundae-gu’da bir beyzbol sopasi ile bir adama vurmak için saldiri suçundan tutuklandi. Iddiaya göre Busan’da iki güvenlik görevlisi ve bir polise vurdugu için 16 Temmuz 2008 tarihinde tekrar tutuklandi.
31 Agustos 2009 günü Jung, Busan’da bir Karaoke kulüpte bir tartismaya karisti. Sarhos bir halde küfürler savuran ve yari çiplak olan JUNG’un ifadesini alan polisler onu tutuklamadilar. Daha sonra, tartisma nedeniyle, 1 Eylül 2009 tarihinde Lotte Giants tarafindan serbest birakildi. 15 Eylül 2009 günü, Jung, emekli olduguna dair resmi bir duyuru yapti.
13 Haziran 2010 tarihinde yaklasik olarak saat 04:40 sularinda Jung, Seul Renaissance Seoul Hotel önündeki kavsakta arabasiyla baska bir arabaya çarparak trafik kazasina karisti. Alkol düzeyi yüksek çikan Jung, olay mahallinde yetkililerce tutuklandi.

Jung Soo-Keun (Hangul: 정수근, Hanja: 鄭守根) (born January 20, 1977 in Seoul, South Korea) is a retired South Korean baseball player who played for the Doosan Bears and Lotte Giants of the Korea Baseball Organization.

Professional career:
Jung won four consecutive stolen bases titles (1998-2001) in the KBO league. Over his career he compiled 474 stolen bases, 0 .280 batting average and 866 runs in 1544 games. His 474 stolen bases rank 3rd behind Jeon Jun-Ho and Lee Jong-Beom.
In 2000, Jung was part of the South Korea national baseball team which won the bronze medal in the baseball tournament of the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia.

Legal troubles:
In February 2003, Jung was arrested in Honolulu, Hawaii on charges of battery after slashing two men in a Korean restaurant when he was joining the Doosan Bears spring training camp.
On July 26, 2004, Jung was arrested on assault charges for hitting a man with a baseball bat in Haeundae-gu, Busan. He was arrested again on July 16, 2008 for allegedly punching two security guards and a policeman in Busan.
On August 31, 2009, Jung was involved in an altercation at a Karaoke club in Busan. The police was dispatched to the site after receiving a report that he was half-naked, intoxicated and swearing in a karaoke room, but Jung was not arrested. However, due to the controversy, he was released from the Lotte Giants on September 1, 2009. On September 15, 2009, Jung made an official announcement as to his retirement.
At approximately 4:40 A.M. on June 13, 2010, Jung was involved in a car crash at the intersection in front of Renaissance Seoul Hotel in Seoul where his BMW car crashed into another car. Because his breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol level of 0.12 percent, authorities arrested Jung at the scene for misdemeanor drunk driving.
