Joong-ang Sangha Üniversitesi, Budist rahip ve rahibeler için modern bir eğitim kurumu olarak Kore Budizminin Jogye Mezhebince kurulmuştur; yetenekli kişileri insan toplumuna katkı sağlar hale getirmek, Budizmi güçlendirmek için Buda'nın ve Jogye mezhebinin öğretilerini sürdürmek ve Jogye Mezhebinin konumunu yükseltmek, okulun amaçlarındandır.

Tüm Sangha üyelerinin istekleri 2001 Ocak ayında yeni bir döneme girilmesine yol açan Gimpo Kampüsünün tamamlanmasıyla gerçekleşti. Kampüs, öğrenciler için modern eğitim tesisleri ile donatılmış ve Jogye Mezhebinden ve dışarıdan oldukça fazla ilgi ve beklenti gören uygulama çevresini oluşturarak en büyük engeli aştı. 2003 yılında öğrenci tesislerinin kurulmasıyla üniversite, insanlık için gerçek bilgeliği öğretme sorumluluğunu almak üzere büyük bir hızla ve emin adımlarla ilerliyor.

PROSPECTUS

Joong-ang Sangha University was founded by the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, as a modern educational institute for Buddhist monks or nuns; bringing talented minds to contribute to human society, upholding the teachings of Buddha and the Jogye Order¡¯s principles to strengthen Buddhism and to amplify the prestige of the Jogye Order.

The Gimpo Campus Era 2001~ presently
The cherished aspiration of all Sangha members was completed by opening the Gimpo campus, paving the way to a new era in January 2001. The campus is well-equipped with the most up-to-date educational facilities for students, and it overcame the biggest obstacle by providing the practice environment, which received more attention and expectation from both the inside and outside of the Jogye Order. With the establishment of the graduate facility in 2003, our University is now confidently marching forward with great momentum, to take on the responsibility of educating the true wisdom for humanity.
