21The IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition is a high-profile international event that attracts 5,000 water professionals, companies and institutions from across the globe. It is the only truly global event of its kind and covers every aspect of the water cycle. The organiser, the International Water Association, has a reputation for delivering high quality scientific and technical programmes that are renowned for their depth, breadth and topicality. The previous IWA World Water Congresses & Exhibitions the Association has held were hosted by the cities of Montreal, Vienna, Beijing, Marrakech, Melbourne, Berlin and Paris.
The next event in the series will be held in Busan, Korea – a thriving coastal metropolis that is home to 3.6 million people and known for its superb beaches and hotels.
