Individuals' Burden of Medical Expenses High in S.Korea

Güney Kore’de saglik masraflarinin artmasi bireylerin agir yükü

Bireylerin saglik masraflarina ödedigi para oraninin artmasi Güney Kore ile diger gelismis ülkeleri karsi karsiya getirdi.Kore Saglik ve Sosyal Isler Enstitüsü Çarsamba günü 2009 yilina ait raporu yayinlayarak, ulusun toplam saglik masraflarinin yüzde 58’i devlet borcu kapsaminda oldugunu söyledi. Avrupa Ekonomik Birligi’ne üye 27devlet arasinda Sili, Meksika ve Amerika disinda rakamlarin sayisi düsük seviyede. Avrupa Ekonomik Birligi’nin ortalama rakami yüzde 71,5 iken, en yüksek devlet borç orani yüzde 85 ile Danimarka’daydi ve onu yüzde 84 ile Birlesik Krallik takip ediyordu. Enstitüde bas arastirmacinin söyledigine göre devlet borcunun en düsük orani saglik sigortasini kapsiyor.

The proportion of medical expenses burdened by individuals is significantly higher in South Korea compared to major advanced countries. The Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs on Wednesday said in a report that as of 2009, 58-point-two percent of the nation’s total medical expenses were covered by public funds. The figure is the lowest among 27 member nations of the Organization for the Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), except Chile, Mexico and the United States. The proportion of state funds was the highest in Denmark with 85 percent, followed by Britain with 84 percent, while the average figure of the OECD nations was 71-and-a-half percent. A chief researcher at the institute said the low proportion of public funds implies a low coverage of health insurance.

Belediyenin söyledigine göre, cihaz sürücüler ani kalkis yaptiginda ya da frene bastiginda rölantide çalisan araca giden yakiti otomatik olarak keserken bip sesi çikarmak üzere tasarlandi.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government said Friday it will attach an anti-pollution device to all city buses as part of efforts to cut emissions and fuel costs.

The device is designed to beep when drivers make a quick start or slam on the brakes, while automatically cutting off the engine of idling vehicles, according to the city.

Smoking to be Banned in National Parks

Ulusal Parklarda Sigara Içmek Yasaklaniyor

Sigara içmek, önümüzdeki yil itibariyle ulusal parklarda yasaklanacak.

Cuma günü Kore Ulusal Park Müdürlügü, dinlenme alanlari, banyo ve barinaklarin yakinindaki ulusal parklarin içinde sigara içilen alanlari kaldirmayi planladiklarini söyledi.

Kurali ihlal edenler, 100.000 won para cezasini ödemek zorunda. Park müdürlügü, geçen yil ihlal eden 374 kisi kaydedildi, dedi.

Smoking will be banned in national parks starting next year.

The Korea National Park Service on Friday said it plans to remove smoking areas within national parks near resting areas, bathrooms, and shelters.

Violators have to pay 100-thousand won in fines. The park service said 374 violations were recorded last year.

Yeni bir arastirma Güney Koreli ailelerin saglik giderleri için yillik ortalama 1.33 milyon won harcadigini ortaya çikardi.

Ulusal Saglik Sigortasi Sirketi'ne bagli bir kurum pazartesi günü, yerli ailelerin %29'unun gelirlerinin %5'inden fazlasini saglik giderlerine harcarken ailelerin %15'inin %10'dan fazlasini harcadigini söyledi.

Güney Korelilerin tibbi servis kullanimini analiz etmek için kurum tarafindan olusturulan Kore Saglik Paneli, ülke genelinde 7800 ailenin saglik masraflarini analiz etti.

New research has found South Korean households spend an annual average of one-point-33 million won on medical expenses.

An institute affiliated with the National Health Insurance Cooperation said on Monday that 29 percent of domestic households spend more than five percent of their income on medical expenses, while 15 percent of households spend more than ten percent.

The Korea Health Panel, which was formed by the institute to analyze South Koreans’ use of medical services, analyzed medical expenses of 78-hundred households nationwide.

Güney Seoul'deki Gangnam Bulvari'nin bir kaldirimina sigara yasagi isareti yapildi. Idare dün itibariyla Gangnam Metro Istasyonu'nun 9 numarali çikisindan Sinnonhyeon Istasyonu'nun 6 numarali çikisina kadar sigara içme yasagi getirdi. Seoul Büyüksehir Belediyesi'ne göre, idare 3 aylik süre taniyacak.

A no smoking sign is painted on a sidewalk of Gangnam Boulevard, southern Seoul. As of yesterday, the policy bans smoking from exit No. 9 of Gangnam Subway Station to exit No. 6 of Sinnonhyeon Station. The policy will have a three-month grace period, according to the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
