Gogeumbawi
Köyümüzün girişinde kocaman bir kaya var. Adı: Gogeumbawi Gogeum, İngilizce’de Sıtma demek. Bu adın arkasındaki hikâye ilginçtir.
İhtiyar bir adam köyde ne zaman olay çıksa bu kayaya tırmanıp dua edermiş. İhtiyar adam, köyüne o denli düşkünmüş ki köylüler önemli konularda onun düşüncelerine önem verirmiş.
Bununla birlikte, ihtiyar adamı kıskanan köyün ileri gelenleri, köylüleri adamdan soğutmak için asılsız dedikodular yaymaya başlamış. Adam üzülmüş ve masumlar hakkında yanlış değerlendirmede bulunanların köyün girişindeki kayaya tırmanmaları takdirinde sıtmaya yakalanarak cezalandırılacağını söylemiş. Bunun ardından, ileri gelenlerden biri kayaya tırmanmış ve sıtmaya yakalanıp ölmüş. O zamandan beri bu kayaya Gogeumbawi derler.

Gogeumbawi
There is a big rock at the entrance of our village, whose name is GOGEUMBAWI. GOGEUM is malaria in English. Behind its name is an interesting story.
There was an old man who went up the rock and prayed for the village whenever there were incidents. He was so devoted to the affairs of the village that the villagers all looked up to him and sought his advice on matters important.
However, a gang of villagers, who was jealous of the old man, spread unfounded rumors about him to alienate the villagers from him. He was upset and said that those who made false accusations against innocent people would be punished by catching malaria if they should climb the rock at the entrance of the village. After that, one of the gang happened to climb the rock, and he contracted malaria and died. Since then, people have called this rock GOGEUMBAWI., the Rock of Malaria.
