Bu üniversite 2004 yılında kuruldu. Bu okul elit bir kurumdur ve sadece en yüksek puanları hak eden öğrencileri almak için amaçlanmıştır. Hiç bir ders ücreti ve konut ücreti alınmaz. Bütün inançlara mensup öğrenciler ya da hiçbir inancı olmayan öğrenciler kabul edilir.

Geumgang Üniversitesi kendi çalışmaları üzerine yoğunlaşan bir yerdir. Öğrencilerin sadece küçük bir sayı kabul politikasına göre kabulüne ve bu öğrencilere uygun ülkenin en yüksek burs, öğrenim remisyonu ve yurt konaklama bunların yanı sıra devlet tesisleri de dahil olmak üzere bir çok imkan sağlanır.

Öğrencilerin uluslararası değişim yapabileceği bir eğitim ortamı ve akademik hedeflerine ulaşırken çok kültürlü bir ortamda çalışma imkanı sağlıyoruz.

Öğrencilerin deneyimleri farklı ülkelerden gelen öğrenciler ve yanı sıra kendini öğretime adamış bir fakülte ile etkileşim halinde olacaktır.

Tesisler

Kütüphane:

Bilgi merkezi olarak kütüphane kitap, süreli yayın, eğitim CD-ROM ve öğrencilerin akademik başarılarını artırmak için görsel-işitsel ve dijital malzemeler ile önemli bir miktar destek sağlar. Bilgisayarlı dijital kütüphane uydu alıcı salonu ve video izleme odası bulunmaktadır.

Bilgisayar Merkezi:

Bilgisayar merkezi kampüs bilgi teknolojisinin omurgası olarak hizmet ve bilgi altyapısı genelinde hizmet vermektedir. Merkezi tel ve world wide web erişim sağlayan kablosuz ağ sistemi ile donatılmıştır. Kablosuz sistem sayesinde, öğrenciler kampüste istedikleri zaman ve her yerde internet üzerinde oturum açabilirler.

Eğitim Yayıncılığı Merkezi:

Eğitsel yayın merkezi bir dijital yayın sistemi ile donatılmıştır. Stüdyo ve editoryal odaları içerir ve yayın yapılması sırasında kampüs bilgi ve eğitim konusunda öğrencilerin önemli bir aracı olarak hizmet vermektedir. Merkezi kayıtları ve derslik stüdyo derslerini düzenler ve internet üzerinden dersler mevcuttur. Öğrenciler online olarak derslere kolay erişim imkanı bulabilirler ve bu nedenle her zaman derslerini gözden geçirebilirler.

Multimedya Odası:

Multimedya odası öğrencilerin akademik hedeflerine ulaşmalarına yardımcı olmak için geniş bir hizmet sunar. Oda bilgisayarlar, renkli yazıcılar, tarayıcılar ve multimedya editörleri ile donatılmıştır.

Uluslararası Konferans Salonu:

Uluslararası konferans salonu, uluslararası konferanslar için iyi bir şekilde donatılmıştır. Son teknoloji ürün ekipmanları bulunur, oda uluslararası konferanslar için mükemmel bir yerdir. Onların bulunması öğrencilerin becerilerini uygulama imkanı sağlar. Aynı zamanda öğrenciler tarafından bir laboratuvar olarak kullanılır.

Bilgisayar Laboratuvarları:

Ağa bağlı bir bilgisayar laboratuarları Geumgang öğrencilerine sunulan derslerde geniş bir yelpazede kullanılmaktadır. Her laboratuar özellikle disiplinlerin ihtiyaçları karşılamak için özelleştirilmiş ve tüm öğrenciler için mevcuttur.

Spor Salonu:

Fitness merkezi öğrencilerin atletik ihtiyaçlarına hitap eder. Bilgisayarlı koşu bandı, çapraz makineleri, yığın tahrik sistemi, göğüs pres makineleri, masaj gibi en kaliteli egzersiz ekipmanları bulunmaktadır. Öğrenciler tam donanımlı fitness merkezinden sınırsız yararlanma hakkına sahiptir.

Konser Salonu:

Oditoryum öğrenciler ve yerel topluluk için bir sanat merkezi olarak hizmet veren, yüksek kaliteli ses ve ışık olanakları ile donatılmış bir odadır.

Budist Meditasyon Odası:

Jigwanjeon öğrenciler meditasyon ve dua ile meşgul olabileceği ve bir Buda heykeli bulunan salondur.

Yurtlar:

Yurdun merkezi ısıtma sistemi vardır ve klimalı çift kişilik odalar sunmaktadır. Her oda iki adet tek kişilik yatak, dolap, masa ve özel banyo ile donatılmıştır. Tüm odalarda özel telefonlar ve yüksek hızda internet bağlantıları var. Konut ve yardımcı programları hepsi ücretsizdir. Her katta sıcak / soğuk su dağıtıcıları ile bir TV salonu vardır. Yurtta çalışma odaları, seminer odası, bilgisayar odası, ATM ve bir markette mevcuttur. Jetonlu çamaşır makinesi ve kurutma makinesi yurdun bodrum katında yer almaktadır.

Bilgisayar Odası:

Her odada internet bağlantısının yanı sıra, yurtta 20 ağa bağlı bilgisayarlar, bir lazer yazıcı ve fotokopi makinesi ile bilgisayar odası hizmeti sağlar. Öğrenciler dersler için interneti kullanabilir ve farklı programlara kolay erişim sağlayabilirler.

Çamaşır Odası:

İki çamaşır odası yatakhanede bulunmaktadır ayrıca jetonlu çamaşır makineleri, kurutma makinesi ve ütü ile donatılmıştır.

Bilardo Odası:

Bilardo salonu öğrencilerin arasında sosyalleşme ve rahatlama için kurulmuştur. Bu oda öğrenciler arasında en popüler yerlerden biridir.

Kafeterya:

Self servis kafeteryası yurt binasının bodrum katında bulunur ve bir gıda şirketi tarafından yönetilmektedir. Yemekler günde üç kez, haftanın yedi günü hizmet vermektedir.

Karaoke:

Karaoke odası öğrenciler için bir sosyalleşme yeri olarak hizmet vermektedir. Popüler yeni şarkılar düzenli olarak eklenir.

Masa Tenisi Odası:

Masa tenisi salonu da yurdun zemin katında bulunan ve eğlence egzersiz için ayrılmış bir yer olarak hizmet vermektedir.

The university was founded in 2004. This school aims to be an elite institution, taking only students with the highest qualify scores. There is no tuition fee, and housing is provided free of charge. Students of all faiths or none are equally accepted.

Geumgang University is a place where you can truly concentrate on your own studies. We adhere to the policy of admitting only a small number of students and to those students offer the highest scholarships in the country and dormitory accommodations, as well as state-of-the-art facilities.

Facilities

Library:

The library as the center of information provides a great number of books, periodicals, educational CD-ROMs, and a substantial amount of audio-visual and digital materials to enhance students' academic achievements. The computerized digital library includes the satellite receiving room and video viewing room.

Computer Center:

The computer center serves as the backbone of the information technology on campus and provides services throughout the information infrastructure. The center is equipped with both the wire and the wireless network system that provides access to the world wide web. Through the wireless system, students are able to log on the Internet anytime and anywhere on campus.

Educational Broadcasting Center:

The educational broadcasting center is equipped with a digital broadcasting system. It includes the studio and editorial rooms and serves as a major means of both disseminating campus information and training students in broadcasting. The center records and edits the lectures from classrooms and the studio, and provides the lectures through the Internet. Students have easy access to the on-line lectures and thus they can review the lectures anytime.


Multimedia Room:

The multimedia room provides a wide variety of services to help students accomplish their academic goals. The room is equipped with computers, color printers, scanners, and multimedia editors.

International Conference Room:

The international conference room is well-equipped for international conferences. With state-of-the-art interpretation equipments, the room will be a perfect place to hold international conferences. It is also used as an interpretation laboratory for students as they practice their interpretation skills.

Computer Labs:

The networked computer labs are used in a wide range of courses offered to Geumgang students. Each lab is customized to meet the needs of particular disciplines and are available to all students.

Fitness Center:

The fitness center caters to the athletic needs of students. It offers top-quality exercise equipments such as computerized treadmills, crossover machines, stack drive system, chest press machines, massages, and the likes. Students are entitled to unlimited use of the fully equipped fitness center.

Auditorium:

The auditorium is equipped with high quality sound and light facilities, serving as an art center for students and local community.

Ji gwan jeon (Buddhist Meditation Room):

Jigwanjeon is a hall that has a statue of Buddha where students can engage in meditation and prayer.

Dormitories:

The residence hall has central heating and offers air-conditioned double occupancy rooms. Each room is furnished with two single-beds, wardrobes, desks, and a private bathroom. All rooms have private phones, and high-speed Internet connections. Housing and utilities are all free. On each floor is a TV lounge with hot/cold water dispensers. The dormitory also has study rooms, seminar rooms, a computer room, an ATM, and a convenience store. Coin-operated washing machines and dryers are located in the basement of the dormitory.

Computer Room:

In addition to the Internet connection in each room, the dormitory provides the computer room with 20 networked computers, a laser printer, and a copier. Students have an easy access to the Internet and different programs for their courses.

Laundry Room:

Two laundry rooms are located in the dormitory and they are equipped with the coin-operated washers, dryers, and irons.

Billiards Room:

The billiards room is offered for socialization and relaxation among students. This is one of the most popular places among students.

Cafeteria:

The self-service cafeteria is located in the basement of the dormitory building and is administered by a food catering company. It serves meals three times a day, seven days a week.

Karaoke:

The karaoke room serves as a socializing place for students. Popular new songs are added regularly.

Table Tennis Room:

The table tennis room is also located in the basement of the dormitory and serves as a place for recreational exercise.
