Gangmun, ''Girişinde nehir akar.'' anlamına gelir. Küçük bir limandır. Gyeongpo gölü denize akar. Göl, denize sarılmış bulunmaktadır.
Gyeongpo gölünün çevresindeki tarihi doğal güzellikleri bulunur. Gangmun civarında denizde gece ışıkları ile balıkçı tekneleri süper bir görüntü oluşturur. Gece, denizde balıkçı teknelerin ışıkları, her zaman bir roman duygusu verir.
Ana balık, yassı balık, Pollack ve yosunlar bulunmaktadır. Onlar çiğ balık restoranlarında satılmaktadır. Bu nedenden dolayı Gyeongpo Beach yakındında bir çok yerde çiğ balık satan restaurantlar vardır.
Pik Jukdo Köyü'nün kuzeyinde bulunmaktadır. Kadın tanrıları köyün güneydoğu sırtında bulunmaktadır. Erkek tanrıları güneyde bulunmaktadır...
Kutuplardan yabani kazlar, kuzeybatı yönünden ise üç tür kuş vardır. Bu üç kuşun kadın ve erkek tanrılarla birlikte köyü koruduğuna inanılır.
Kadın şairler, yazarlar bu köy için pek çok şiir, anıt, park, ev yaptırmışlardır. Köy bu yönden de çok güzel tarihi eserler ortaya koyuyor...

Location: Gangmun Beach Area, Gangmun-dong, Gangneung
Gangmun means the entrance the river flows in. It is a small port located in the place where the water of Gyeongpo Lake embracing Gyeongpodae flows to the sea.
Gangmuneowha is one of Gyeongpopalgyeong representing the historical scenic beauty around Gyeongpo. It expresses the scene of fishing boats with the lights at night at the sea around Gangmun. The lights of the fishing boats in the sea at night always give us a novel emotion.
Main fish are flatfish, pollack, and seaweeds. They are sold in the raw fish restaurants nearby. As this area is near Gyeongpo Beach, there are many raw fish restaurants that attract many visitors to taste them.
Peak Jukdo is in the north of the village. The female tutelary deity is in the southeast ridge of this peak. The male tutelary deity acress the water in the south.
A 5m high and 26cm round pole called Jinttobaegi is erected between male and female deities.
Jinttobaegi is a dialect of a pole and is a compound word of Jintae and Baggi. It means a stuck long pole.
This pole has a look of letter Y. Three birds with the shape of duck and wild geese are put on the top of Y in the northwest direction.
It seems to have a relation to the customs of a nomadic people to respect the heavens.
The people beieve that three birds defend from Samjae (that means unforetune for 3 years). The letter Y defeud against Palnan having a meauing of times of hardship.
Gangmun Jinttobaegijae is held annually in the 15th of January, the 15th of April, and the 15th of August to commemorate the female tutelary deity, male tutelary deity, and Jinttobaegi. Moreover, after performing a memorial service in the 15th of April every three years, they do Poongeogut.
The house of birth and poem monument park of Heo, Gyoon, the author of Honggildongjeon and Huhnan, Sul Huhn, female poet are in a 10-minute walking distance so that it is a good visiting place of the literature trip.
