FTIsland The “Summer Messenger”

FTIsland begins summer tour on 28th

Releasing self-composed single next month 27th

FTisland is going to be the “Summer Messenger” in Japan.

The band concludes their promotional activities for “Hello Hello” and will depart for Japan on 28th. They will be meeting their fans over in Japan in the various cities namely, Nagoya – 29th June, Osaka - 2nd July, Tokyo – 6th July and Fukuoka – 8th July. On 29th July, they will also be standing on the Budoukan stage for their first time ever since their Japan debut. They are also the nation’s first band to perform at Budoukan.

FTIsland will be releasing a new single in Japan on 27th July, with songs composed by the members themselves. FTIsland is also the first Korean band to ramk 1st position on the Oricon weekly chart on the first week of the release of their first Japanese regular album.

On 26th, vocal Lee Hongki told the reporters at the waiting room that, “It’s very meaningful for us to hold this tour in Japan. There are lots of anticipation on our self-composed single as well as our Budoukan concert. We hope that our fans in Korea can support us as well.”

FT Island Toronto'da Sahne Alacak





FT Island 'Concert for Japan' organizasyonunun bir ayagi olan Toronto'da 3 Eylülde konser verecek. 'Concert for Japan' Kanada'daki isçi bayrami boyunca (3-4 Eylül) sürecek olan bir yardim konseri. FT Island to Perform in Toronto at "Concert for Japan"


FT Island is slated to perform at the music event "Concert for Japan" in Toronto on September 3rd."Concert for Japan" is a benefit concert that will be held during Canada's Labor Day weekend (September 3-4).
As stated in the home page, the mission of the event is to raise donations for the homeless, orphans, children, elderly and many more affected by Japan's earthquake. The disastrous earthquake and tsunami struck Japan on March 11th, 2011, killing many lives, destroying homes, and has left Japan's infrastructure in a fragile state.

FT Island will join the stage with other rock acts including Evaline, Vas Vega, Yakudo Traditional Japanese Drummers, Envy, Atoomic Tom, and more.The benefit concert will be held at Downsview Park in Toronto from 12:00PM until 11:30PM. There are two options for tickets: a single day ticket for $75, or a two-day pass for $130. You can purchase tickets here.

F.T. Island has wrapped up two successful Christmas concerts at the Yokohama Arena on December 23rd and 24th.

The concerts, titled ‘X’mas Live 2011 ~Winter’s Night~‘, sold out the minute tickets went up for sale, drawing headlines and praise from both the Japanese and Korean media.

FTIsland’s Lee Hongki stood out to deny his dating rumours.

Online communities were spreading photos and rumour stating, “FTIsland Lee Hongki is dating a girl along the street?” on the 20th and Lee Hongki stood out to deny the rumour.

In the revealed photo, Lee Hongki was seen in a pose with a girl and both seemed like a couple. Many asked about their relationship.

With the rumours spreading widely online, Lee Hongki’s management company, FNC Music, explained that, “These photos were taken at the filming set of FTIsland’s new music video. The girl beside Lee Hongki is not his girlfriend, but the female lead of their music video.”

Lee Hongki sings for his fans in celebration of his birthday

FT Island lead vocalist Lee Hongki sang a song for his fans in celebration of his 22nd birthday.

The singer recorded a special surprise video message, in which he sang a song with sweet lyrics that touched the hearts of his fans.

The clip was posted on various community sites asking, “What song is this?”, earning the high interest of netizens everywhere.

The melody to Hongki’s song was bright and melodious, and the lyrics sang, “I smile all day and I try pinching myself because all this feels like such a dream. It’s like a dream, you here with me now, It feels like a dream.”

At the end of the song, Hongki said, “Hey silly Primadonnas, always so grateful for you. I love you. Bye.”

His fans responded to his video by writing, “What’s the title to the song?”, “I love you too, silly“, and “I like the song, and I like Hongki.”

Sirket arkadaslari olan iki grup; F.T. Island ve CNBLUE Amerika'daki ilk konserini basariyla tamamladi.

FNC Music 12 Martta, "F.T. Island ve CNBLUE, Los Angeles'taki ilk konserini 9 Martta Nokia Theater'da 5.000 seyircinin katilimiyla gerçeklestirdi." açiklamasini yapti.

FNC Music'e göre, Filipinler, Ispanya, Italya, Meksika, Tayvan, Japonya ve dahasi olmak üzere seyircilerin %80'i uluslararasi hayranlardan olusuyordu.

Labelmates F.T. Island and CNBLUE have pulled off a successful first concert in the States!

On March 12th, FNC Music revealed, “On the 9th, F.T. Island and CNBLUE opened up their first concert at the LA Nokia and brought in a crowd of 5,000 audience members.”

According to FNC Music, the audience was made up of 80% international fans from the Philippines, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Taiwan, Japan, and many more. Fans had gathered hours before the concert with yellow flags and logo t-shirts to show their support.

Both bands performed their hit tracks live like “Intuition”, “Loner”, “Love“, “Hello Hello”, “Love, Love, Love”, and more.

The concert was hosted by AEG, a company that has hosted concerts for the likes of Bon Jovi, the Black Eyed Peas, and Justin Bieber in the past. The vice president of AEG had even made a personal visit to see the boys perform!

He revealed, “I’m beginning to feel the worth of K-Pop’s growth. It was a very satisfying concert from both the stage work to the artists’ talents.”

F.T. Island is sweeping up the Taiwanese music charts!

It was recently revealed that their song “Grown Up” off of their “Severely” album had ranked in at #1 on the K-Pop singles chart and most sold K-Pop albums chart on G-Music‘s ‘Kuang Nan Record‘ and ‘eZPeer+‘.

They also ranked first on the K-Pop music chart on MTV Taiwan, demonstrating their popularity in the country.

FNC Music expressed, “F.T. Island has ranked first on nine different charts for albums, broadcasts, mobiles, and ringtones. They’re a hit in Taiwan as well as Korea.”

F.T. Island recently completed their collaborative concert in Los Angeles with CNBLUE and are currently preparing for their next stop on their Asia tour.

The band FT Island has released the fourth mini-album Severely and ranked at the top of various music charts. It also visited MBC’s Weekly Idol lately, spending some fun time shooting an episode.

It was the second time for FT Island to visit Weekly Idol since its song “Like The Birds.” In a recent shooting for the segment called Idols Say So some rumors about the members were brought up, finding out whether they were true or not.

Living up to its reputation as a “pretty boy” band, members ranked one another according to their looks and eventually the leader Choi Jong Hun was selected as the best-looking guy in the team. He said, “All members are quite confident of their looks. We’ve never had a plastic surgery.” His comment showed confidence in their “superior” looks, and Lee Hong Ki added, “I went to a plastic surgeon before the debut, but he said I have nothing to fix on my appearance.” On hearing this, the emcee Jung Hyung Don could not hide his jealousy and seemed to feel the dignity of a pretty boy band.
