Pumba, özellikle Kore'nin fakirleşme döneminde sokak sanatçılarının şarkı içinde kelime tekrarlamasıdır.Pazarların,köylerin etrafında para,yemek veya herhangi birşey istemek için gezinirlerdi.Pumba'nın özel bir anlamı yok ama ritim tutmak için bir dil mekanizmasıdır.Son zamanlarda,pumba kelimesi genellikle gakseori olarak adlandırılıyor.Bu sanatçılar yemek yada para istemek için değil,festivallerde şarkı söylemek için performans gösteriyorlar.Pumba Festivali her yıl Eumsang tarafından yapılıyor.Programın içeriğinde, eski yoksulluk zamanını ziyaret etme ve çeşitli gakseorilerin yaşam tarzlarını ve performanslarını gözlemleme var.Festivale iştirak edenler,performansın başında bulunan,yerel bölgedeki pazarlarda,festivallerde yada tiyatrolarda halkı eğlendiren kimselerdir. Festivalin seyiryicilerin sonsuz kahkahalarının yanı sıra enerjik ve eğlence dolu performanslarla dolmasına şaşmamalı.

Introduction:
Pumba was the word repeated in the songs of street singers, especially when Korea was once impoverished. They strolled around marketplaces or villages seeking food, money, or anything they could get. Pumba doesn’t have a specific meaning but is a language mechanism for keeping a rhythm. These days, the word pumba generally refers to gakseori. These performers do not beg for food or money, but do sing at events or festivals.
The Pumba Festival is held in Eumseong every year. Programs offer a visit to the old days of poverty and a glimpse of the performances and lifestyles of various gakseoris. The festival participants are top performing gakseoris who entertain at marketplaces, festivals, or theaters around the nation. No wonder the festival is filled with energetic and exciting performances as well as endless laughter from the audience.

- Sharing Pumba bibimbap, heating yeot (Korean taffy)
- Pumba mud hat-making contest
- Pumba zone (stamp tour, etc.)
- Vintage 60s-70s Street (Pumba bar, straw-craft, school uniform, theater, etc.)
Admission/Participation Fees: Free
Age Limit: Open to all ages
Transportation: At the Dong Seoul Bus Terminal (subway line 2, Gangbyeon Station), take a bus for Eumseong
(06:30 - 21:00/29 daily departures with buses leaving every 30 minutes /1 hr 40 min.)
→ Get off at the Eumseong Intercity Bus Terminal → From the terminal, take a left and walk ahead
→ Pass the intersection, there will be the Eumseong-eup Office, and take a left at the 3-way intersection (a 10 minutes walk)
