Dong-yeo-do Kral Cheoljong ve Gojong saltanatı boyunca Gosanja (takma ad) Kim Jeong-ho tarafından kopyası çıkarılmış renkli bir milli haritadır. Bu 23 paravandan oluşan portatif bir paravan şeklindedir. İlk paravanda içeriğin tablosu, arda kalan paravanlarda ise Kore'deki her bölgeyi kapsayan bir harita gösterilir.

Harita dağlar ve nehirler, hudutları ve bölgelerin arasındaki yolları gösterir. Önemli yapı ve yerler harita üzerinde işaretlenmiş; ordu üsleri, istasyonlar, şehirler, depo alanları, kaleler, duvarlar, yollar ve mezarlar gibi. Dong-yeo-do Dae-dong-yeo-ji-do (Kim Heong-ho tarafından yapılmış Kore Atlası) versiyonları arasında bilinen en güzel ve en doğru şekilde çizilmiş harita paravanıdır. Olağanüstü parça, resimler ve renklendirilmiş bu harita 19. yy.'da Joseon Hanedanlığı'nın eski gelişmiş harita üretimi teknolojisinin harika bir örneğidir.

Description ~

Dong-yeo-do is a colored national map transcribed by Gosanja (pen name) Kim Jeong -ho during the reign of King Cheoljong and Gojong. It has the form of a folding screen which made up of 23 screens. The first screen shows the table of contents while the remaining screens contains a map covering each region of Korea.
The map shows mountains and rivers, boundary lines and roads between regions. Important architectures and landmarks are also marked on the map, such as army bases, stations, cities, storage facilities, fortresses, walls, roads, and graves.

Dong-yeo-do is the most beautiful and accurately-drawn map screen among the known transcribed versions of Dae-dong-yeo-ji-do (Korea Atlas created by Kim Jeong -ho).
The outstanding texts, pictures and coloring make this map a great example of the advanced map manufacturing technology of the late Joseon Dynasty in the 19th century.
