The school opened its doors for the 1994 school year as Dong-A Technical College (동아전문대학).

Dong-A College is a private technical college in Yeongam County, South Jeolla province, South Korea. The current president is Kim Yong-mun (김용문). About 50 instructors are employed. Graduating classes average around 1200.

Technical training is offered in a wide range of fields. Among these are emergency rescue, pet grooming, and social welfare.
