Kral Daeso (대소왕) (M.Ö. 60 - M.S. 22) eski Dongbuyeo Kore Krallığının üçüncü hükümdarıdır.

Geçmişi

Kral Daeso, önceki Kral Geumwa’nın ilk oğludur ve Dongbuyeo Krallığının kurucusu ve ilk hükümdarı olan Hae Buru’nun torunudur.

Dongbuyeonun Veliaht Prensi

Daeso Dongbuyeo’nun ilk prensi olduğu için babası tarafından veliaht prens yapıldı. Bununla beraber veliaht prens olmadan önce , okçuluğuyla ünlü Jumong, Daeso ve onun altı erkek kardeşi tarafından çok büyük bir kıskançlık ve çekememezliğe neden oldu. Jumong Dongbuyeodaki varlığının kendisi için tehlikeli olduğunu biliyordu ve Jolbon Buyeo’ya kaçmaya karar verdi. M.Ö. 36-37’de Jumong Goguryeo’yu kurdu ve Kral Geumwa M.Ö. 7’li yıllarda öldü. Daeso tahta çıktı ve Dongbuyeo’nun kralı oldu.

Goguryeo ile Savaş

Daese, Goguryeo’ya saldırmak için yeterli askeri gücü toplamıştı. Bununla birlikte Daeso saldırmadan önce Goguryeo Kralı Yuri’ye bir kraliyet suçlusunun göndermesini emreden bir elçi gönderdi. Goguryeo bu emri reddetti ve M.S. 6 da ilk Goguryeo-Dongbuyeo savaşının olmasına neden oldu. Daeso, 50.000 askeri doğrudan Goguryeo’ya sürdü ama ağır kar yağışı yenilgiyi getirmesiyle Daeso geri çekilmek zorunda kaldı. Bununla Daeso, Goguryeo ile ilk savaşında kaybettiklerinin telafisi için 7 yıl beklemek zorunda kalmıştı. Daha sonra M.S. 13’de, Daeso askerlerini bir kez daha Goguryeo’ya sürdü. Bu sefer Goguryeo’nun bir prensi olan Muhyul Goguryeo’nun askerleriyle iyi planlanmış bir tuzak kurmasına öncülük etti ve Daeso’nun bütün askerlerini katletti. Sadece Daeso ve bir kaç adamı evine kaçabildi. Bu iki yenilgiyle Dongbuyeonun ekonomisi geriledi ve kargaşa kaçınılmaz oldu.

Ölümü

Goguryeo Kralı Yuri’nin ölümünden sonra veliaht prens Muhyul Kral Daemusin olarak tahta geçti. Kral Daemusin bir ordu oluşturdu ve Dogbuyeo’yu istila etti ve hemen Daeso’yu öldürdü ama Dongbuyeo’yu tahrip etmedi. Sene M.S. 21’di , yaklaşık Daeso’nun önceki yenilgisinden 7 yıl sonrasıydı. Daeso’nun ölümünden sonra, Kral Geumwa’nın üçüncü oğlu tahta geçti ve Dongbuyeo’nun kralı oldu.

Daeso-wang / 대소왕 (Dongbuyeo) (60 BC - 22 AD), (ruled 7 BC–22 AD) was the third ruler of the ancient Korean kingdom of Dongbuyeo.

Background

King Daeso was the first son of the previous King Geumwa, and the grandson of Dongbuyeo’s founder and first ruler, Hae Buru.

Crown Prince of Dongbuyeo

As Daeso was the first prince of Dongbuyeo, he was made Crown Prince by his father. Before this occurred, however, Jumong’s famed archery gave cause for tremendous jealousy and envy from Daeso and his six brothers. Jumong knew that his presence in Dongbuyeo would only be dangerous to himself, and decided to flee to Jolbon Buyeo. In the year 36 BC, In 37 BC, Jumong established Goguryeo, and King Geumwa died years later during 7 BC. Daeso rose to the throne and became King of Dongbuyeo.

War with Goguryeo

Daeso gathered enough military power to attack Goguryeo. Before attacking, however, he sent an envoy to Goguryeo’s King Yuri, ordering him to send a royal hostage to Dongbuyeo. Goguryeo rejected the order and caused the first Goguryeo-Dongbuyeo war to occur in 6 AD. Daeso directly led a 50,000-man army into Goguryeo, but was forced to retreat when heavy snow began to fall. With this, Daeso would have to wait for seven years in order to regain what he had lost from the first war with Goguryeo. Then, in 13 AD, Daeso led his armies into Goguryeo once again. This time, Muhyul, a prince of Goguryeo, led the armies of Goguryeo in a well-planned ambush and slaughtered all of Daeso’s army. Only he and a few of his men escaped home. With these two failures, the economy of Dongbuyeo fell and chaos was inevitable.

Death

After the death of Goguryeo’s King Yuri, the Crown Prince Muhyul rose to the throne to become King Daemusin. King Daemusin led an army and invaded Dongbuyeo, eventually killing Daeso, but he didn't destroy Dongbuyeo. The year was 21 AD, almost seven years after Daeso’s previous defeat.After Daeso's death, the third son of King Geumwa rose to the throne and became King of Dongbuyeo.
