Kral Daemusin, diger adiyla Muhyul (대무신왕), üç Kore kralligindan biri olan Goguryeo’nun 3.kralidir. Kral Daemusin, Goguryeo’yu karada genisletti. Dongbuyeo'nun birkaç küçük ulus ve güçlü kralligini fethetti.
Arka Plan
Prens Muhyul, Kral Yuri’nin 3. oglu ve Jumong’un da torunuydu. 14 yilinda 11 yasindayken veliaht prens olmustur. Veliaht olduktan 4 yil sonra babasi Yuri’nin ölümü üzerine tahta geçip, kral olmustur. Öldükten sonra ise Daesuchonwon’a gömülmüstür.
Daemusin, Goguryeo merkezi yönetimini güçlendirmeye çalisti ve topraklarini bir hayli genisletti. O Dongbuyeo’ya savas açti ve kralliginin 22. yilinda Kral Daeso’yu öldürdü. Amnok Nehri boyunca, 26 yilinda da Guda Gaema’yi ve daha sonrada Guda-guk ‘u fethetti.
28 yilinda Çin'in saldirilarina karsi koyduktan sonra, 32 yilinda oglu Prens Hodong’u Nangnag (Kore’nin kuzaybatisi) kumandanligina saldiri düzenlemesi için yolladi. 37’de de Nangnang’i yikti. Samsuk Sagi kayitlarina göre Prens Hodong ve Prenses Nangnang arasinda büyük bir ask vardi. Bu ask efsanevi bir ask hikayesi olmus ve günümüzde Kore’de çok iyi bilinmektedir. Prenses, kalesinin savas davullarini ayirdigini ve böylece Goguryeo’nun uyarmadan buraya saldiri yapabildigi söylenir.

Son yillarda, Daemusin (Muhyul) ünlü Manhwa ve video oyunu Nexon için “The Kingdom of Winds” adi ile bir model olmustur. Yine Muhyul’un yasamini konu alan "Kingdom of the Wind" adli bir dizi de 2008 Eylül ayinda yayinlanmisti. Bu dizi bir Goguryeo prensi olan Muhyul’u konu alan manhwa ya dayanmaktadir.

King Daemusin of Goguryeo (4-44, r. 18-44) was the third ruler of Goguryeo, the northernmost of the Three Kingdoms of Korea. King Daemusin led early Goguryeo through a period of massive territorial expansion, conquering several smaller nations and the powerful kingdom of Dongbuyeo.
Background
Prince Muhyul was the third son of King Yuri, and grandson of Jumong. He was made crown prince in the year 14, at the age of 11, and became king upon his father's death four years later. He was buried in Daesuchonwon.
Daemusin strengthened central rule of Goguryeo and expanded its territory. He annexed Dongbuyeo and killed its king Daeso in 22. Along the Amnok River, he conquered Gaema-guk in 26, and later conquered Guda-guk.
After fending off China's attack in 28, he sent his son, Prince Hodong, to attack the Nangnang Commandery in northwestern Korea in 32. He destroyed Nangnang in 37. [1][2][3] The legendary love story of Prince Hodong and Princess of Nangnang, recorded in the Samguk Sagi, is well known in Korea to this day. The princess is said to have torn the war drums of her castle, so that Goguryeo could attack without warning.
Modern Depiction
In recent times, Daemusin served as a model for the famous Manhwa and video game Nexon: The Kingdom of the Winds. The Korean historical drama, "Kingdom of the Wind", began airing on September 2008. The drama is based on the manhwa mentioned above and depicts Muhyul, a prince of Goguryeo, who is born with a prophecy stating that he would destroy Goguryeo.
