Daejeon Üniversite Müzesi, Kore’nin kültürel miraslari ve el emeklerini toplayıp korumayı amaç edinir. Aynı zamanda kültür, sanat ve ilim konularında gelişebilmek için bu eserleri araştırır ve üzerinde çalışır.
27.Ekim.1984’te 561 adet el emeği Bay Seo Jeong-in, namı diğer Goam, tarafından müzeye bağışlandı. Daha sonraları müze, Bay Lee Seok-hee (namı diğer Moun), Bay Oh Heung-gyun (namı diğer Unsan), Bay Jae-jun ve Bay Park Tae-byeong gibi isimlerin de bulunduğu kişilerin yaptığı bağışlarla zenginleşti.
Şimdiki koleksiyonda çanak çömlek, porselen, eski resimler, eski yazılar, metaller, folklor, yazma kalıplar, doğal tarihi içerir. Toplamda 5,840 eser vardır. 5 sergi odası: Çanak çömlek odası, okul tarihi odası, resim ve yazıların bulunduğu oda. Her oda farklı dönem ve tipteki eserleri sergiler. Müzenin karakteristik yapısı aşağıdaki gibidir:
İlk olarak, el emeklerinin %80’i çocukların kültürel eğitimine destek umuduyla bağışlanmıştır.
İkinci olarak, müzede 2,600’den fazla yazma kalıp vardır. Bu yazma kalıplar Joseon Hanedanlığı’nın sonlarında yaşamış Bay Jeon-u’nun (namı diğer Ganjae) çalışmalarının koleksiyonudur. Diğer müzelerde pek bulunmaz.
Üçüncü olarak, bizim bir tane okul tarihi odamız vardır. Ziyaretçiler üniversitenin nasıl kurulduğunu, tarihini, şimdiki durumunu ve uluslararası değisimleri görebilirler.
Ek olarak, sosyal eğitim programının bir parçası olarak müze, 1997’den bu yana yerel halka kültürel hazineleri keşif programı sunuyor. Program vatandaşlar tarafından kabul görmüştür.
Çevredeki okul öncesi, ilk öğretim, ortaokul ve lise öğrencileri müzeyi ziyaret eder.
Müze halka faydalı olmaya çalışıyor.

The Daejeon University Museum aims to collect, conserve, and display the cultural heritage and artifacts of Korea, and it also investigates and studies them to contribute to the development and education of our culture, arts and scholarship.
It was opened on October 27, 1984 on the basis of the 561 artifacts donated by Mr. Seo Jeong-in, a.k.a. Goam. Afterwards, the museum was enriched by the donations made by many people including Mr. Lee Seok-hee, a.k.a. Moun, Mr. Oh Heung-gyun, a.k.a. Unsan, Mr. Lee Jae-jun, and Mr. Park Tae-byeong.
The current collection includes pottery, porcelain, old paintings and writings, metals, folklore, printing blocks, and natural history. It possesses a total of 5,840 pieces. There are five exhibition rooms: the pottery room, the porcelain room, the ancient document room, the school history room, and the paintings and writings room. Each room displays selected artifacts by era and type. The characteristics of this museum are as follows:
First, about 80% of the artifacts were donated in hopes of helping with the cultural education of students.
Second, the museum owns over 2,600 'printing blocks for ganjaejip,' the collection of works by Mr. Jeon-u, a.k.a. Ganjae, who was the top class scholar at the end of the Joseon Dynasty, along with Mr. Hwang Hyeon, a.k.a. Maecheon. They are valuable and rarely seen in other museums.
Third, we have a school history room that will help visitors understand how the university was established, its history and current status, and its history of international exchanges.
In addition, as part of the social education program, the museum has been offering the cultural heritage exploration program to local residents since 1997. This program is favorably received by participants.
Groups of kindergartners, elementary school students, middle school students, and high school students in the vicinities visit the museum.
The museum is trying to benefit the local residents.
